Dems can filibuster him then for a more liberal nominee later.
Yes, that EVIL filibuster and the PARTY OF NO! until it's your turn.
Does the country win a prize if we poke each other's eyes out?

So you wanted to cheap out on your insurance and if anything bad happens go bankrupt and leave me to pay for it?
for many families, 20k may as well be 2mm. Potential bankruptcy either way.
So you wanted to cheap out on your insurance and if anything bad happens go bankrupt and leave me to pay for it?
ok and 1 leaves me on the hook for more then the other.
If you guys want a real solution like that then people need to be rejected at the door to die in the streets because they are too poor.
Obamacare is that bad. I recently had to purchase insurance on the open market. I could get inexpensive hit by a bus coverage(which is what I wanted), but you cant buy that unless you want to get the fine because it is not a compliant plan.
So i had to opt for the cheapest HMO, which is 800/month for insurance that covers everything and nothing at the same time. It is a compliant plan, but I have to spend upwards of 20k in deductibles/premiums before it covers anything.
Tell me how this makes things more affordable. I am about ready to drop it and take my chances.
The estimated cost of President Obama's signature health care law is continuing to fall.
The Congressional Budget Office announced on Monday that the Affordable Care Act will cost $142 billion, or 11 percent, less over the next 10 years, compared to what the agency had projected in January.
The nonpartisan agency said the Affordable Care Act will cost less for two essential reasons. The first, and most significant, is that health insurance premiums are rising more slowly, and thus requires less of a government subsidy.
An apology might have been warranted, but you guys put up Romney to run against him. You see, the way it works, is if the Democrats have a bad or unpopular candidate running, you can't just put up any garbage and expect it to win - we kind of expect you to keep up your end and give us a decent alternative.Where's your brain?
I'm not a Republican, I'm an independent. If you voted for him the 1st time, you get a pass. If you repeated it, then it is you who needs to apologize. I'll wait.
Why not, I subsidizing those that cant afford to buy at normal rates? Why cant the public subsidize those that are pushed out of the market.
This is how I see it...
Hit by bus coverage was about $300/month(subject to penalty)
Compliant HMO is $800 month.
It appears there is an extra $500/month in coverage I dont want and subsidy's to others.
I had a plan similar to this pre obamcare, the premiums were less for a PPO and deductables were less than 1/2 of this plan. And my provider is requesting 50% premiums increase for next year.....
Obacare fixed nothing and made many things much worse.
This is the problem with socialism, you eventually run out of other peoples money.
No we need to have an actual conversation about the difference between insurance and health care. 90% of all healthcare transactions should probably not be handled by insurance.
Yeah we should have a single payer system but the repugs blocked it. So pay you share poor.
Ahahaha.... far as the "base" is concerned Obama's going to declare martial law and there won't even be elections. He'll just be President forever! See? Obama has plenty of time to do all that stuff in cuckoo land.
Personally, I think if someone told him he'd have to remain President on Jan 22nd, he'd just be "aww, hell no!" and walk out the door. Let's face it, the job certainly is not what he was expecting. He thought this country could be governed.

1994 called, wants it talking point back. Dems had a super majority and didnt pass single payer.
Shame really because single payer would imo be more efficient and easier for everybody involved.
I actually think Romney was a pretty solid candidate and Obama was neither bad nor unpopular either. Romney had the proper background and governing experience to do a good job, and his platform was well within the American political mainstream. He just wasn't what voters were looking for in 2012, which is fine. If he had waited until 2016 to run I could see him easily beating both Clinton and Trump.
He's most likely referring to when the Democrats had a supermajority for 49 days starting 7/7/09 and again for 134 days starting 9/24/09.Factually incorrect. Dems had 56 senators after the 1992 election, not a filibuster proof 60+ super majority.

Right wing belief is counter factual as always.

If you can't afford health insurance you are not one of the ones paying for others. You are a poor just like them.
I can afford it and I dont qualify for a subsidy, but it these plans have very little value.
Why buy insurance if it does not cover anything....
That's assertion of jaundiced opinion as fact. The notion that ACA plans don't cover anything is bullshit.

And this wall of stupidity is even more absurd than usual.
If people still have some of their second amendment rights at the end of obummer's reign, it's certainly not for lack of trying on his part. He's done pretty much everything he can to destroy the second amendment and curb people's rights at every turn. We can thank the NRA and the GOP for preventing some of the worst abuses, but obummer sure as heck tried.
