People need to realize something...
All the republican candidates, every single one, wish to use religion, their religion, to rule or guide them in their rule, and to cause harm towards others in doing so by judging others, restricting the equal rights of others, restricting fairness for others, by demonizing and by demoralizing others. People that use religion in this way, any people, not just these republican candidates, are in fact NOT part of some religion. They are, in fact, taking part in a cult.
They have twisted religion, especially Christianity, into not a religion but into their personal cult. A cult they wish to take, or hope to take, nationally and as the cult leader.
So what we have here, running for US president, are a bunch of wannabe cult leaders.
If that doesn't scare the shit out of voters... Welcome to their cult.

And every democratic candidate wants an Orwellian society. Next fallacy?

I'm not sure how giving yourself some psychoanalysis really relates to my response, but it's good to see you coming to grips with yourself even if it didn't make a point. Would you like me to provide you with a list of your posts that fit this amusing little diatribe of yours?

I agreed with you when you said "I'll leave speaking for everybody to the shills and retards" and then reflected upon what I've seen from many people in this forum. I was talking in general and wasn't referring to you specifically. However, if you feel compelled to list my sins...please do so and I'll add to the list the millions you missed.

You funny little butthurt man. Who is doing this arguing you speak of? I was addressing the topic of this thread, as were others. You on the other hand are following your standard MO of trying to divert and mitigate anything that offends your concern for republicans. That's not shit, that's you reeking of insecurity as usual.

So...I'm a funny little butthurt man...you are so very clever. I'm impressed. Anyway...sarcastically suggesting Cain wouldn't get the nomination due to Republican racism is a diversion and not on topic? Really? And to suggest this is actually me reeking of insecurity? Really? I'm sure this somehow makes perfect sense in your world.

Oh well then nevermind... lame poster says posts aren't lame! I guess that puts me in my place? lol
It wasn't me that put you in your place...people just can't help being what they are.

To return to the OP, this ad is just bizarre and further reinforces my opinion that Cain is not a credible major-party candidate. The only reason he is polling so well is that much of the GOP has such distaste for Romney. I'd like to believe the GOP is dopey enough to actually nominate Cain, but I doubt that's the case and fully expect an Obama-Romney race.

Agree that the nomination will probably go to Romney...he's the best they've got. Not sure if I have the stomach to pull the lever for him though.

Wow, Perry just seems like such a jerk. In the paper today it says he wants a flat rate 20% income tax. Doesn't matter if you make $5000/year or $5,000,000/year, same rate.

Why are so many Republicans against Romney's nomination? He's a Mormon?
I don't think his being Mormon bothers anybody except the extreme religious fringe. I think he's perceived by many as too liberal, a flip-flopper on issues, and more of the same.

I wish Gingrich would get it. Paul is too far out there. Romney and Santorum make me feel ill. Perry and Bachmann...whatever, no. Cain is a hack.

Hasn't Paul said he'd default to letting states do whatever they want? I prefer that. The federal gov't has no business stating what marriage is. They should state that a union can be declared between two people, and stop there. They should also state that all states are required to allow abortions to save the mother's life, and otherwise leave it up to the state.

Everyone knows at this point that a failure to nominate Romney basically concedes the election to Obama unless he makes some titanic fuck up right before the election. There is no other viable candidate for a national election from the R side. Perry would get taken apart in any debate against him since he can't even hold his own against the crazy nobodies in his own party.

Everyone knows? As in the media told them? Who do you think can win in the debates? Perry was the flavor of the week. Then Romney. Now Cain.

Romney would win an election only because he isn't obama (if he could win) and he'd be no better than Obama or Bush.

Perry has done terrible at the debates...he's even floating the idea of not doing any more of them as a way to better serve the voters (lol).

Romney is as close as it gets to a moderate candidate that's not totally repulsive to the electorate as a whole. Perry is vulnerable on too many fronts and the rest of the field is a joke (Cain) or worse (Bachmann and Santorum).

I understand dismissing Paul most of the time since he's so far out there (and so old)....but why do people always ignore Gingrich?

From a blog:

It shouldn’t be surprising that the above Herman Cain ad looks like a cigarette commercial. The New York Times has reported in this article that Mr. Cain spent some years in Washington as a lobbyist. During that time, Mr. Cain relied heavily on funding from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company...
