You guys need a sticky for case cooling info...I'm having a hard time getting much on it...

Should I buy Panaflos or would this led variable fan be as quiet?

I've got an Antec SX1030b so should I fill all 4 fans slots? The led would look awesome though the front fan grill I think but I sleep right next to this computer so silence is more important than looks really...also the front of the case is inside a enclosed desk cupboard so I'm not sure if front fans would make a whole lot of difference?

Right now My case runs at about 40C and the cpu at 49-53C with two overly load stock antec fans in the back two slots (bottom one intake/top one output) which came with the case and a Volcano 7 that is always running on high mode (since the case temp is so high)...

Any suggestions?

If you're running a P4, I'd definitely try more fans/ improving your airflow. If you're running AMD, those temps seem okay, save your money. HTH

panaflo's are one the best quiet, quality fans, you can't really go wrong there... I don't know about the other, sorry.

I have similar situation here, XP 1800+, KX7-333R. The are temperatures 40C system, 50-52C cpu idle, and 43-45C system, 56-57C under load. I have a $40 case that has got more than 60 faverable reviews on newegg, and AX-7 the famous heatsink. I put a 34CFM,29dba panaflo on AX-7, one 20CFM,12 dba fan on front, and a 28CFM,20dba on the back. There is also a side fan that comes with the case. My room is not air conditioned, and is about 28-30C without much air flow. I guess this is reasonable because the cpu-system temperature is 11-15C.
