Just found the unrated version of Requiem for a Dream for $9.90. Too bad I already bought it...but for those of you whom haven't yet...or haven't seen it yet...think about picking it up.

One of the most depressing movies I have ever seen, visually stunning @ its high points, and painfull to look @ in its low points.

I give it 4 out of 5 paws, but NOT something I need to own even @ that price

As a huge Aronofsky fan (director of Requiem), I suggest you definetly pick this one up. Requiem for a Dream is the best movie I've ever seen, and if you think drugs are "cool" and that bs, this movie will change your life. This is a must see. If you like this, try picking up 'Pi' by Darren Aronofsky, that is his first masterpiece. Requiem is his second.

great movie...i have the unrated and I think the main diff is during the "@ss to @ss" scene...it gets more graphic i think

It's a bit more explicit...mostly more sexually explicit in the last "party" scene....

Very disturbing movie in general. Is not to be missed.

But seriously, this is a very _interesting_ movie, but it is
unrelentingly dark with no real protagonists...The kind of movie
you want to see to discuss with your art-aware friends, but probably
not the kind of film you need to own.

Unless you get Jennifer Connnelly nude.

If you've never seen it before, RENT it. This is (as others have pointed out) a movie that must be experienced once. But it would be massochism to watch it a second time.
