Games runs great and looks pretty good as well. I ran a 36 sec FRAPS, the same run as GameGPU, and got

1440p
Avg: 68.9 FPS
Min: 55 FPS
Max: 78 FPS

I maxed out every option I could (Edit: Reflections set to variable in this run), but they don't show every setting. This was with my 980Ti at stock boost clocks of 1293Mhz.

Game play is good, nearly made my wife soil herself when watching me enter the basement...

Are you sure you max out everything or is 980TI at 1300Mhz that much faster than 1070?

Loving that CPU graph. 113 FPS minimums across the board - should be a great game for high refresh rate and VRR monitors.

Is it normal for most of the cards to halve their FPS going from 1080->1440 ?

Edit: Is it normal for most games to halve their FPS going from 1080->1440?

Strange results with Fury X beating the 1070 yet the 1060 ahead of the RX 480.
Due Fury X unconventional design where memory bandwidth might be playing a role, just look at Nano distancing itself from GTX980.

The Fury series are a lot more shader based, so I'm guessing the game is very shader heavy, thus the Fury line beating the 1070, but the RX 480 which is heavier on the shaders, but not as much is slower than the 1060, which I'm guessing because of the high clock and boost is winning here.

Personally I don't think the reference 1060 6gb and RX 480 8gb are fair comparison, AMD has terrible reference design(its like they want to lose and be second to Nvidia) and Nvidia uses the best possible reference design(knowing that they don't even sell it, its like a special review only version with the best quality board and fans).

So personally comparing aib partner cards with mild OC like MSI 480 and MSI 1060 is much better representation, where AMD cards don't throttle due to terrible reference design and poor cooling.

All of the same settings were used in my original run except reflections were set to variable instead of ON. I went ahead and turned them on and ran it again. Make sure your're sprinting for the majority of the test as well.

I ran the 36 sec FRAPS run again and got the numbers below. Again, GTX 980Ti at stock boost clocks of 1293/7000.

Avg: 61.36
Min: 48
Max: 70

I did a quick OC, 1443/8000

Avg: 68.83
Min: 55
Max: 80

That's odd the 980 ti I have the averages were about 65 and max was like 73 with everything maxed, minimum was like 53. It was running at 1405 and drops to 1392 for a few seconds.

isn't smaa the highest aa option?

Looks like it is, but it adds some terrible shimmering in the game. You can see it really bad on picture frames and when you open the fridge. FXAA + TAA removes the shimmering but it's really blurry. I'll see if I can sharpen it up with ReSharpen. Curious to see how it looks.

EDIT: Just added some Lumasharpen and it adds it's own set of visual artifacts. I guess blurry it is!

On another note, I'm not sure why this games uses so much VRAM. I guess It could be caching textures? Some textures look great, but most do not.

its normal..OC980TI is always faster than OC1070.
they running 980TI in reveiw almost at base clock(1Ghz) thats why its on par with 1070.Once is 980TI oc it destroys 1070 in most games.

Yet another release where SLI/CF doesn't work

Yep. SLI is dead. Seriously, it just doesn't work anymore. I'm looking forward to trying this demo later. Never played one of these games. Maybe I'll enjoy it.

Try your 980Ti at 1050mhz with 7000mhz ram.It should be slower than mine 1070.They running 980Ti bellow 1100mhz in reviews.

I couldn't get the boost to stick at 1050MHz, as my stock BIOS is now on the card. The clock speeds fluctuated from 1025-1088MHz with 7000Mhz memory.

Avg: 53.611
Min: 45

Thanks here is GTX1070 at review clocks-1860/8000
Avg: 55.564 - Min: 49 - Max: 65

It is like it should be.Stock GTX1070 is little faster than stock GTX980TI.Once is 980TI OC it destroys GTX1070 oc.

Edit i tried OC memory and 1070 have again huge memory bandwidth bottleneck
1860/9500

A well done game by Capcom? Oh godness, after a long time it happened!

Everything is in order as expecting.

So lower HW could run it at least in HD.

This looks pretty promising as a game and the solid performance across GPU's. The demo seems to grab all the available VRAM a card has, but didn't notice any hiccups with 980ti (6 gb) or Fury X (4 gb)

Wow, just another "console port" game suiting well to GCN cards? What a coincidence

Jokes aside, it's good to see AMD strategy is starting to bear a fruit, we (customers) need some competition.
