Any update on this? I live in a small town and it will be at least 2 weeks before it gets here. is it worth theater, or shall I wait for DVD?

I did a search and didn't see any related threads...
I can't tell if this movie is going to be a bad sequel to a mediocre movie or possibly a decent zombie flick; anyone have more info/first had viewing of the movie?

Even though I'm going to see it regardless, yes it will suck. It's going to be another crummy Rush Hour 3. They made 2, did well on the first, did relatively well on the second. They're probably just throwing this crap out to see if morons will pay them to see it.
It's going to suck, but they're right. I'm going to pay to see it and leave disappointed.

I don't give a damn. For some reason, I love the previous 2 and I'm sure I'll love this one. Will definitely be seeing this.

Those zombie crows were pretty crazy.
I would have liked to see her use her new powers more in the final battle against the doctor. I also don't understand why they let that one dude stay in the group after he got attacked by the zombie chick. I would have shot that mofo in the head just as a safety precaution.
I would have also liked to see more of Milla's naked bod'. Too bad the movie was PG-13.

PRO'S:
-It's a good movie to just watch for the hell of it, and it kicks when you watch it in theaters.
-Cute chicks, hot if I must say.
-Return of Alice, the legendary hero (or Frog from Chrono Trigger? ;mutated).
-3D special effects.
-acting is 'fairly' decent, at least it retains the feel of the first two.
-first half of movie is worthwhile
CON'S:
-and the last half of the movie slows down 'cuz you already know Alice is going to win
-Alice is photoshopped, too much touch up on her face. She was fine upto two, but in three, it's like she's been computer generated.
-Treb. control is awfully loud, sound team put too much of the wrong frequency in through almost every scene. You will most likely leave the theaters somewhat deaf.
-Story line is too linear. Even though it's got the classic 'scary' moments parts, it's impossible not to know what's going to happen after Alice's true powers are evident and Umbrella fails to contain her through satelite technology.
-Ending sucks, find out at the end of the cliffs; last battle is way too short.
-...No Jill Valentine, which sucks to not have the faslely "long awaited" Nemesis character in the movie.
-No scene where team/Alice are fighting dirty tuxedo costumed zombies in casinos of Las Vegas; what a turn off~
-Not enough monster types in movie: (1) Zombies (2) Super Zombies which are still stupid (3) Dogs, ofcourse (4) Crows, which die way too fast anyway (5) Last boss: Omega Red-wanna be.
-Too many desert scenes; loses the touch and feel of city fighting to just sand plains 'n weapons.. like a boring cowboy VS monsters movie, little bit of advanced technology here and there, that's about it.
-You don't see the immediate world after movie 2, movie 3 just jumped all the way past the in-betweens and is rushed into an ugly desert world, a good way to lose money for what could of went in between the two films, part 2 and 3, (nemesis and extinction).
CLIFFS:
Alice goes through training. Only a sample, clone gets thrown out. Zombies surround camp.
World in ruins, only a handful of humans survive. Water and food are scarce. Sandstorms mark all of the western United States.
Real Alice explores the desert waste lands, fights a little bit, and we discover her telepathic mind powers.
Expedition survival team travels. Member of STAR onboard survival team. They get hit by crows that are infected while at a rest stop.
Alice shows up and uses her mind powers to destory infected birds.
Master doctor discovers location and selfishly uses Umbrella soldiers to cease real Alice while unleashing enhanced zombies on expedition survival team as distraction and experimentation.
Alice successfully scares Umbrella Corporation master doctor back to mini base camp. Obviously she follows them and wants the surviving humans to go to Alaska for shelter.
Problem: Alice tells them to go from Nevada to Alaska on a helicopter. So where are they going to refuel? Dead end for expedition survival team, Alice basically sends them to their deaths on a single helicopter trip. Stupid.
Anyway, Alice fights it out with the master doctor who overdoses himself with the antidote after being bitten from the experimented super zombies. Master doctor transforms into a self-regenerating Omega Red monster and fights it out with Alice - pathetically short battle.
-Sliced 'em up, psychic punched, gets thrown a few times and lasers cut up Omega Red and he dies.
A surviving Alice-clone helped the real Alice defeat Omega Red and then they talk to the other Umbrella Corp. leaders via telecom video who are in hidden bases around the world, "I'm coming after you, and I'm bringin' a few of my friends," in which the real Alice takes control of the Umbrella lab of Nevada, USA and begins cloning mass Alice's.
