Resistance bands?

I'm tempted to pick some up, partly to use in conjunction with my dumbbells so I won't have to get heavier sets, and also to use on their own. Can I expect a real workout with these? And is there a way to approximate the resistance in pounds for the different bands?

Sure. The heavy bands can provide a hefty oomph. Resistance in pounds is harder given that bands are variable resistance (more resistance the more they are pulled).

I mostly use bands to assist in learning gymnastic moves but I can imagine how they can be a workout in themselves.

I use resistance bands for part of a core workout I do. Never look forward to those, they are brutal.

You don't need any special handles. Watch some YouTube videos for ideas on how to use the bands.

Sorry to drag up such an old thread, but I'm looking to buy some of these. Can someone recommend which ones to buy? Mini, Micro, Monster? Or the Set? Looking to start useful these to supplement some running.
