i was on the 10.10 drivers but i switched to 10.12, when i play crysis i used to play at a resolution of 1600x1050 or something redicuiously cloes but i just cant remember the number.

when i downloaded the new drivers, 10.12 wont let me play at that resolution anymore, it automatically switches me to 1920x1080, now i wouldnt mind the 1920x1080 if it wasnt @ 24hz.. no clue how to switch it either since it auto switches when i change resolution from in game crysis.

any help would be appriciated i would like to keep 10.12 drivers but if it cant be solved i will switch back to 10.10

also, there are no game profiles i can create for a specific game? to maybe even "add" the specific resolution i want that i used to play at?

monitor is a Samsung LN40C500

EDIT: i tried to change the resolution from 1920x1080 @ 24 hz to 1440x900, in game it applied, but when i hit info on the monitor it showed 1920x1080 @ 24hz still...

Crysis worked fine with me using 10.12

I moved back down to 10.10e because of what seems to be better performance.

I have the same issue with Crysis Warhead, 1080p@24Hz on a HDTV. You could try hitting Alt+Enter multiple times until it enters 60Hz (this did not work for me) or using CCC go to Display Properties and set monitor rez. to 720p. Then enter Desktops & Displays and Enable Gpu Scaling, now go back and set monitor rez. to 1080p, this allowed me to play the game at
at 50hz with Vsync on with borders around the screen, its not perfect but better then being stuck at 24Hz.
Another thing is while trouble shooting I noticed that if I run the game on a different HDTV everything works fine, seems it doesn't affect all displays.

i just posted a similar issue i'm having. i have to manually set a resolution in the game config files if i want anything higher than 1680x900 or whatever it is. i'm running the latest hotfix with xfire 6970s. i can't even get 1080p@24 to show up in options though.

Go to CCC and add a custom resolution to your HDTV - 1080p60 (there's a section to add HDTV resolutions - look around). The problem will be solved then - I had the same with my HD5850, in Crysis and Trine, both were running at 1920x1080 @ 24Hz for me in full screen.

i tried alt+enter a few times, that works, it switches to 1920x1080 at 60hz, HOWEVER the only problem is that its not full screen, and when i enable full screen, it swtiches back to 24hz!

i added the profile for 1920x1080p @ 60hz and applied the format in CCC, but when i start up crysis it switches back to 24hz in full screen mode....

EDIT: is there anyway to add it somehow to the game or crysis so that it will work?

It's not a profile for 1920x1080 @ 60Hz that you should add. There's a section to specifically add HDTV resolutions and you can select many different ones pre-created. One will be called 1080p60 and by adding this one I solved my problems (and many others from the thread I got it from on some other forum). I'm at work now, can't give you screenshots.

Hmm... weird. It worked for me and many others. Try adding 1080p50 too and restart your PC.

qbah i restarted my pc, i started crysis and my hdtv jumps into "mode not supported" so i assume it must be in 1920x1080 @60hz... why does this not work in crysis?! why does it work as my desktop but not in game?! this makes no sense now

Here's the weird part... my friend has also a HD6850 and if I connect the HDMI cable through the HDMI port on his card, the HDTV (a 55" LED LCD) goes blank if I select anything higher than 1920x1080 @ 30Hz. Says 1920x1080 @ 60 Hz and no signal... The highest we can go is 1920x1080 @ 30Hz... Then the desktop shows up fine. But then I used an ATi DVI->HDMI converter (the gray one) and plugged the same HDMI cable to it, then it works without any issues at 1920x1080 @ 60Hz. Are you sure your desktop is at 1920x1080 60Hz and not some lower refresh setting? Cause some people don't notice it... (for me everything is very laggy).

Check if your desktop is at 1920x1080 60Hz. And if it isn't and you're connected by a HDMI cable to the native HDMI port on the card, try to use a DVI->HDMI converter, plug it into one of the DVI ports and plug the same HDMI cable to it.

If your desktop is at 60Hz, then I am out of ideas...

i finally fixed it, after rebooting the pc, i started crysis again, came in again at 1920x1080 @ 24hz until i switched the mode to 1680x1050, for some reason, when i applied it the info on the tv was 1920x1080 @ 60 hz...

so i dont know why crysis selected that mode as the current 1080p but all i care is that it now works and looks amazing.

thank you for all your help to resolve this issue.
