resolve IP address from only the MAC address

sorry i don' tknow the exact command but doing an arp /? will help u if u do it from Dos. ARP command is used to see the MAC/IP addresses of the computers that u are sitting at table.

what you need is RARP, it will resolve and IP from a mac address. I don't know of anything for windows.

best bet is to download a range pinger (program that will ping a range of IPs) and ping your entire subnet.

Then use "arp -g" to find the IP/MAC mapping you're looking for.
