Testing out a new hosted exchange provider who (stupidly) does not offer room/resource mailboxes forcing me to test a workaround.
We have 2 resource mailboxes: a conference call facility and a conference room.
I set both up as regular mailbox and set up a "generic" email as the delegate.
The generic email was set up on a computer on Outlook 2007 (we had a spare license for office 2007 pro) that is always on with outlook rules to automatically process requests and accept/deny based on free/busy.
That all works well BUT if an appointment is canceled, the delegate does NOT automatically remove the appointment from the "resource" calendar, instead it sets the appointment to "Canceled" and shows the time as free. That would be fine but the delegate then continues to decline appointment requests for the same time, since there is still an item in the calendar. WTF?!?!?!?!
