You can only use 1 per restaurant per 30 days. You can use a different coupon in a different restaurant, just not the same one for 30 days.

You cannot combine coupons even if you split a check. 1 person per party may use a coupon.

From personal experience, I eat out a lot in NYC manhattan (4-5 nights a week). Most place I eat are about $20-35 plates, $80-100 per 2. Restaurant.com had a huge selection of very good places in all different price ranges. Most of the coupons can be used on a bill $35-50 or higher which is easy. They do an automatic gratuity but it is modest. I usually add 5% if service was decent. Anything higher end like nobu, jean george, modern, you don't need a coupon for cuz if you do, you can't afford the place.

On both occasions it took a little while for the restaurant to figure out how to "ring them up". It seems my gift certificates were the first they had seen.

Yesterday, I bought around $50 worth of seafood from a local seafood mart and applied my $25 GC which only costs me $5. :Q

Remember to read the stipulations with each coupon. I got a coupon to a local Indian restaurant for $3 or so which gives me $25 off $50...some coupons require like 18% gratuity too. I mean, it's still a good deal, but I haven't used it because I haven't gotten enough people together to order $50 worth of Indian food lol.

Wow you were able to use it at a seafood market? I was going to pick up some fresh lobsters tomorrow. Anyone know a store place in NYC that accepts the restaurant.com GCs?

These are nice, but i got pissed when I found that you cannot apply these certicates to sale items. In some cases, they actually raised the price when you apply the certificate.

We got a $50 card from them when we bought a wedding dress at a local chain store. I checked the website to order which certificated we wanted, and there weren't any restaurants within 150 miles that they had certificates for, plus there was a minimum purchase stipulation on the ones we considered travelling to..

I have used two of these certs now, they both had 90 da expirations. Still have two left. One restaurant stopped using Restaurants.com so they let you do a free exchanges. I think you can exchange certs even if you change your mind.

The 18% Gratuity is not BS, it protects the servers so they receive their fair share on the total bill. If you have a friend or family member that has been or is a server just ask them. Even though you get a break on the price, the server still has the same amount of food and service to provide. Although you should be able to set the amount of the tip at a level comenserate with the level of service, this is probably a better alternative. In a lot of restaurants, base hrly pay is min wage or less.

If I understand your question correctly I'd say, "No, you don't have to use these all at once. Actually, there is a rule that you can only use one GC per establishment per month."

I've just bought nine more GCs this morning.

All of the GCs I have state you have 1 year from the date of issue before they expire.

So don't go overboard is my suggestion.

as much as it is to reward good service, that's how servers make money in the first place.

my sisters worked at ruby tuesday's in college and their pay was something like $2.30/hr, without tips.
