This isn't a gift certificate. It's more like a coupon.

Yes, the places I know that will accept them have the exceptions that you cannot pay for a whole meal with a gift card or print out. Also, they will automatically hit you with an %18 gratuity on your bill.
Example: to use $10, you have to spend $20 on the meal and they will tack on the gratuity on the full price before the $10 is subtracted.
$20 (meal) + 18% (gratuity) + $0.60 (coupon cost) - $10 (coupon) = $14.20 meal (instead of $24.20)
Yes, you save, but not as much as they try to sell it to you.

Not to shit all over this thread, but going back to what some earlier poster mentioned, "If you don't tip 20%, either you have a lousy waiter, or you're scum", I have this to say: pound sand. Do waiters, bartenders and bar-backs work harder than everyone else, and if so, is that why they deserve a tip? If I work harder, do I deserve one?
Wait, they *might* not make minimum wage! So the company they choose to work for decides to skimp on their labor costs and instead, bone the customer into a guilt trip to tip the hired hand. Maybe those companies should start acting like the large majority of companies who PLAY BY THE F'N RULES. How many waiters, bartenders and bar-backs claim that tip income? So, the company skates on labor costs (by moving that cost to the consumer) and as a result, less taxes are available (all the while virtually everyone else has to pay). And if you don't support this model, "you're scum"?
On a darker note, it looks like restaurant.com bones you too, according to this thread. The orgy is on.
