Restaurant recommendations for Columbus OH

I'm going to be down in Columbus OH for a night and wanted to hear if anyone had any recommendations for a good restaurant?

I'll be staying in the 43204 zip code.

No dietary restrictions looking for a place you would consider "your fav" in the area.

I know I ate there once. I think it was at Cracker Barrel. Otherwise can't help you.

Check out: http://www.cameronmitchell.com/ - Martinis is pretty good for Italian and up that way. They have a good steak joint (pricey though) not too far away.

You should absolutely go to Ugly Tuna.

I don't live in Columbus anymore but when I did Cameron's was my favorite place and only 5 minutes from my apartment. It's Cameron's first restaurant so it is on the small side so get a reservation if you're going at a prime time.

If Walleye is on the menu you might consider that. That is one of their seasonal specialties. I don't particularly like fish but that is really good.

You probably can't go wrong at any of the options. The whole chain is the main upper scale dining outfit in Columbus. CapCity Diner is good too. The meatloaf is outstanding.

Columbusite here. So the map says you will be staying in the Polaris area? There used to be a Martini's right there across from the mall, but it is now a Marcella's, which is also a Cameron Mitchell restaurant. Still good italian food, but a bit more casual than Martini's. A couple of my favorites in the area are JGilbert's (wood fired steaks), Columbus Fish Market (great fresh seafood) and The Pub (so so food, but many, many beers on tap from all over Europe).

You right around the corner from me. On High Street in Worthington good place called j. liu here is the link http://www.jliurestaurant.com/ .

If you want to try a local place, Villa Nova also on High Street in Worthington. Or the Old Bag of Nails for great fish platter.

If you like nacho, this place has the best nachos ever.

Great choice.

I don't know what your budget is like, but Rigsby's is also a nice restaurant sort of in-between downtown and the Short North (but maybe a little far south for you).

I also like Molly Wu's and Brio's, which are next to each other at the mall at Polaris.

Isn't Thurmans Cafe near the German Village? I've only been to Columbus a handful of times but I ate there once... pretty good but has that dive bar feel to it.

Thurman Cafe is right in German Village, but don't be in a hurry if you go there - the wait can be quite long. Tip: If there is only a couple of you, go in and wait for a seat at the bar.

Yea I remember my wait was like 2 hours, so it's probably not a good place to go to if you're only in town for a short time.
