Restaurant slammed on Yelp after getting called out for selling Popeyes chicken

How do they make any profit if they were using another restaurant already marked up food as ingredient?

The whole thing went down when Yelper Tyler H from Los Angeles posted a 1-star review claiming he spotted employees bringing boxes of Popeyes chicken into the kitchen.

Love that chicken from Popeyes. Spicy chicken breast, hot and spicy, plus dirty rice and a ice cold Coke = yummy/delicious.

The fuck do you think is served at places like Outback Steakhouse or Chilis or any other basic sit-down restaurant? Think they select only the best and finest foods? No, most of it is premade shit that they toss on a stove for 10 minutes and then serve you. Kids these days are morons.

As for how they turn a profit - any sit-down place probably charges anywhere from $8 - 12 for a chicken sandwich meal with fries. Buy in mass from Popeyes, and I'm sure you can easily get the chicken price down pretty good to only be $2 or so.

I remember reading a couple years ago about rebellion from some Subway owners because they were required to buy all food items from Subway, yet many of the toppings were cheaper to buy at a supermarket.

Umm there's a HUGE difference between putting together pre made ingredients at Outback or Chili's and making it themselves and Outback going to Chili's and buying their cooked steaks to serve you back @ Outback. Plus the fact that the restaurant was promoting their fresh cooked foods.

It's all bullshit IMO. Either way, I think people are absolutely oblivious to what occurs in the back of a restaurant. I guarantee most are too stupid to realize that when you order mashed potatoes at a chain restaurant, no one is in the back skinning potatoes, mashing them, then baking them. I consider that fact to be the same damn thing as this. Like the first reply said, Popeyes or Sysco - it's all pre-made shit.

Dumbass, the restaurant claims they make everything in house. This restaurant isn't a chain restaurant. After being caught, they're admitting to reselling Popeye's food which they more than likely don't have permission or a license to. I could go on but you're too stupid to understand what's already been posted.
