Question resuing an OptiPlex 7050 case

Greetings,

I was able to get an Dell OptiPlex 7050 desktop which I'm interested in upgrading it's hardware.
the pc's internal can be seen here:

I can get an AMD - 4650G + PRIME-A520M-K combo, a 8gb ram and a Seasonic SSP-300TBS psu in a decent price and I was wondering if all of the above will fit the case and work?

any insights?

Short answer is no. Your psu is the wrong type for the Dell case, and I doubt that the A520M-K will fit, because the Dell motherboard is longer on one end than what is normal for a micro ATX board.

Save yourself the hassle, and just buy a case.

the psu dimensions are the same, the dell mb's dimensions are abit smaller than the dell one (22.6cm x 22.1cm for the asus vs 24.4cm x 24.4cm for the dell)
I'm not sure however if I can screw the psu into place.
expected wattage seems enough

I'm going by the video. The guy mentions that one side is longer on the dell motherboard, when he has it in his hand. Where are you getting the measurements for it?

I just looked at the Seasonic SSP-300TBS on Newegg. It's 5.51" long, so it might fit. However, the case doesn't have the IO connectors for your motherboard. How to you plan to turn the motherboard on & off?

I thought there was something strange with the connectors, I'll have to take a closer look, maybe the connectors are the same but needs separation or something.
I plan to take out the part of it's hw and move it to the home server, then I'll take a closer look.

bottom line, assuming the IO connectors can be managed, iyho, it is possible to preform the upgrades I'm stated above?

I still don't think that the screw holes are going to be correct for the new board, but if they are, and you can make the connectors work, then yes you should be good.

Yes they have to line up, so that the rear of the motherboard fits in the rear of the case.
