I'm currently looking for a better job... I want to post my resume on monster for all prospective recruiters to see. However I run the risk (and it has happened before) of my current company's recruiter running into it.

Are there any tips to give my resume the same exposure w/o the risk?

Some things I have thought of have been removing all INFORMATION/ACCOMPLISHMENTS w/ my current company from the resume and send an updated one to the recruiters that get in touch w/ me.

Hoping to run into some people who have had the same issues

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Per, Monster.com's help on resume status. I've bolded the section on how you want to set your status for your resume.

Resume Status

Do you want employers to find you on Monster? Are you currently employed and need to be more careful about who sees your posted resume? We know that not all job searches are alike. So we've given you more flexibility in how you post your resume. Your resume status options are described below:
Public Resumes
Choosing public ('searchable') indicates that you want employers to be able to find your resume during resume searches. Because employers may search for resumes before they post a job, choosing the public option will give you the widest access to possible job opportunities. Public resumes are viewable by employers ? not other Monster members.

Note: Only one resume can be public at a time. If you select a resume status of public and you have an existing public resume, the resume status of your existing resume will be automatically changed to private.

Monster & Diversity
Monster is used by thousands of companies that recognize the benefits of workforce diversity. They are actively recruiting qualified applicants from diverse backgrounds including race, gender, 50+ workers, disability status, and lifestyle preference. By selecting the Monster and Diversity checkbox option you will make your resume public to employers searching the diversity and inclusion resume databases. You can change this setting at any time.
Public and Confidential
Would you like employers to find your resume, but don't want your current employer to know you are looking for a new job? Save your resume as Public, but hide your contact info, current company and references. Employers who are interested in your resume will contact you via a confidential Monster email address. You can then view the job listing and decide whether to respond. If you apply online, the information you've marked as confidential will be included so the employer can contact you.

Important: If you choose to hide your contact information, current company and references, you must ALSO remove this information from your uploaded Word resume or Copy & Paste text resume.

Private Resumes
Choosing private ('non-searchable'), indicates you want to hide your resume from employers performing resume searches. If you choose this option, you will still be able to search for jobs and apply online using your resume.
Privacy Plus
Privacy Plus allows you to block up to 20 companies from finding your public resume on Monster. This feature is particularly helpful if you're looking for a job and don't want your current employer to find your resume. By blocking the company (or companies) of your choice, you can set your resume status to 'public,' allowing other employers to find your resume. For many job seekers, the combination of Privacy Plus and a public resume is the most effective way to privately conduct a job search.
Using Privacy Plus
Once you create and post your public (searchable) resume, click the 'Privacy Plus' link on the main My Monster menu bar. You can then find and block the company (or companies) of your choice from finding your public resume during resume searches.

Meh, I'd agree it's not really a big deal...I haven't taken my resume off Monster or Dice in a couple years...it doesn't mean I'm actively looking for a job, just keeping my options open. My company found me on dice, and they know my resume is still there, and they don't care...
