One of my old systems has boomeranged back to me after my mother-in-law started to have issues with it.
Basically, it was originally the 3770k with a Gigabyte motherboard. It would BSOD randomly on me and I found while reseating the CPU that two of the motherboard pins were bent. I replaced it with an Asus Hero motherboard, but still at times would get a BSOD, but it was much more rare.
Fast forward and now it does it even with a fresh Windows install. My thought is that the bent pins may have damaged the CPU. So I can either e-waste everything or try to find a used 3770k to troubleshoot. Is there any sense in doing that since it is a 9 year old platform? I'm not in need of another PC and really don't want it taking up space.
