Has anyone purchased anything from Game Choice Club and received shipment? I'd really love to pick up a set of those supposed Sega brand Samba maracas...but I don't want to waste my time if it's bogus. Any info would be appreciated...

Thanks.

I feel like I need to run out and buy all these games now or they will be gone forever, is this valid or am I nuts?

Demontooth, my guess is that the game publishers will continue to make the games available so long as there is demand... and this $49 blowout of the consoles has created THOUSANDS of new customers, all of whom will have demands for gameware.

That said, I would expect the games to be LESS available and HARDER to find, which will drive many of these new purchasers to the black market websites and to the USenet newsgroups like alt.binaries.dreamcast and alt.binaries.cd.image.dreamcast

**VERY STERN WARNING**
Whatever you do, DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT ORDER FROM GREMEDIA.

I ordered 2 controllers and 2 light guns from them for ~49.00 and they will not ship them.
They ignore my emails, and when I do get a response it is a lie. (They told me that they were
shipped about 2 weeks ago) These people are scammers, and you will be wasting your money
if you order from them. If anyone is in the same situation, I have Name/Phone/Address and
I will be contacting the authorities soon. Please PM me if you need some assistance.

These scum sucking scamming b@stards operate on ebay under the nick gremedia, and they
also have a website which is www.crazytoy.com . Consider this a warning to you all, I got taken
please dont let it happen to you.

**Edit: link fixed, very sorry about that**

TallGeese,

I had two questions for you. I saw the update that the MC2 steering wheel is listed at $19.99, but when I go to their site (www.funcoland.com) it redirects me to gamestop.com and they have the price listed at $29.99. Is this just a mistake our list here or am I not seeing the right page. Also, on that exact same page they have "Similar Products" in the bottom right hand side of the page and list the exact same MC2 steering wheel for $49.99. Does anyone know if this is just a mistake or if there really are two different wheels and if so what is the difference between the two?

Thanks alot and great job with the post!

Headhunter for the Dreamcast was cancelled. I'm not even sure if it made it out in Japan.
So unless you're looking for the import, I don't see why it's on the Most Wanted Games list.

Nice work, though.

For clarification:
Gamestop = Babbage's = Funcoland (all the same company now, just different names for different B&M locations and their online presence. No way to build brand recognition = Really stupid if you ask me).

Saw the same thing you saw at http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=800862. Those do look like the same wheel, so I would say go for the lower price

The $19.99 price was posted earlier in the thread, and may have been at a B&M. I'm hoping to receive some scans for some of those LOW LOW prices so we can attempt to PM.

Otherwise, I have NOT seen $19.99 as a price for the MC2 (both of my MC2 wheels were $29.99 at a Babbage's B&M).

Thanks for the clarification, Tallgeese, and keep up the great work!!

PS. I would definately be interested in any scans of a receipt showing the MC2 wheel for $19.99.... that's a sweet deal on a wonderful wheel!

When I was in Babbages, I saw another Mad Catz Dreamcast wheel for $20, but it was not the MC2. Are you sure that you got the MC2?

BTW.. I love the MC2 wheel, but I'm a little dissapointed in the little rubber bumpers that go underneath the gas/brake pedal to cushion the impact. I've already broken one on the gas and brake pedal.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, look underneath the brake/gas pedal. There are two rubber pads at the rear and one in front. The rectangle rubber pads slide into thin plastic things. Two of these thin plastic things cracked and the rubber bumpers no longer stay on the pedal. I'm sure that it probably isn't the end of the world that I have these things, I'm just dissapointed that they cracked after only a couple of uses.

For those of you that have the MC2 wheel, check under the pedals and see if yours are still in tact.

Also.. I'm still waiting on an answer on whether you can hook up two MC2 wheels at the same time and go head to head in racing? I'm looking for head to head racing games as well. If anyone knows anything, please let me know?

Thanks!

Sal

Sal:

I haven't opened the 2nd wheel yet, but I'll try to in the next day or so and let you know if it works.

Not sure if I have a racing game that supports 2 players tho. Do you know if Daytona USA, Sega GT, Crazi Taxi, or any other support head-to-head?

Not sure if you've heard these yet. I went to Fry's and here are a few prices (they had a million copies of em too):

Samba de Amigo - $10
Confidential Mission (red cover?) - $10
The Grinch - $10

I just got my DC sports bundle from Amazon and am pleasantly surprised by the graphics. This is my first console since the original NES and is an excellent buy. I picked up a used copy of Ecco from Babbages for $7 . This game is just breathtaking.

Yeah....Matcatz has two wheels, the $19.99 one is a cheapee POS, and the MC2 is the heavy duty jaw dropping yum yum wheel. It even has an LED display for throtle/calibration! HIGHLY recommended if you can find one.

My mom has bought a DC as a gift to my children for Christmas. She also bought them 4 games and I picked up Shenmue at Target for $13.40. To be honest I think I am going to enjoy it more than the kids. Havent had a new console since SNES and super Star Wars. Stupid Jawas. I'm dropping by the local comic/toy/video/game shop to pick up some used games this week. The price of the unit and games can't be beat.

You know.. I thought about checking them out with resellerratings. When I went to their site for the first time, it looked an aweful lot like Justdeals.com (wonder if they are owned by the same company?). I was put in bed with justdeals by overstock and after dealing with them once, I will never deal with them again. I've made 6 calls to them about junk that they sold me and haven't gotten my money back yet. I think they are just ignoring me now.

Anyway.. Didn't want to get off on a rant about Justdeals/Overstock.

I want to thank you for posting the reseller rating though. 2 is nasty IMO and worth avoiding.
