Looked again at the high-end of the games list, and you're probably right. Most likely those places had the stuff prelisted, and haven't bothered to remove them from their web stores...which, in and of itself, ought to give someone pause before buying from a vendor with such an out-of-date website.
I will leave the listings, but add a notice before those questionable ones.

It's just reported that Kbtoys has Crazy Taxi 2 for $9.99. That's the cheapest that I've seen it. The only downer is that it's $5 shipping. It's still cheaper than the $19.99 + tax I paid for mine at CC.

Yep, I indeed saw BOTH the Mad Catz MC2 and the predecessor at funcoland B&M for $19.99. Didn't pick it up that day cause I wanted to read some reviews of all the steering wheels out there. I go back a week later and the MC2s are sold. Argh!

But it seems like my local Best Buy has restocked their shelves with LOTS of DC games. Both Test Drive - Le Mans and Test Drive V- Rally are back at $9.99. They even have a few copies of Mortal Kombat Gold at $9.99. I was amazed to see 2 FULL racks of DC games after being forced to see 30 copies of Virtua Tennis the last few times.

I've bought stuff from baysoft a couple of times with no problems. One of the items I bought was the marracas. Maybe I was just lucky. Shipping was slow if that matters to you.

Picked up 2 copies of Test Drive Le Mans at BB for 9.99 each. Definitely a sweet deal. Live on sweet dreamcast.

Just got back from BB, and bought Test Drive V-Rally for $9.99.....nice, real nice. This top rated game is not only hard to find, it's usually $45. It wasn't in the display, but the guy offered to check in the back. He came out with the last copy. He also said that they get their Dreamcast deliveries on Thursdays, and they go out on display Friday. Don't know if every BB is the same, but if you're looking for this and other $9.99 games, I'd suggest getting there before Saturday. And if you don't see what you want, ask the guy to check in the back.

I also saw placards for Unreal Tournament and Test Drive Le Mans for $9.99, but they were gone. Maybe Friday?.....maybe. Give them a call if nothing else.

Oh thank you for this thread. I just bought one recently and have paid less than $30 for three good games. Gamespot is another store that has a lot of games, used ones too, for cheap. They are all over. Also Funcoland has a nice selection.

I just got back from BestBuy @ Boston, MA. They have a bigger selection of games now, mostly $9.99. I bought Test Drive Le Mans for $9.99 and the blue VMU for $9.99. I noticed that the regular VMU is also marked at $9.99..

:| my dreamcast just died on me after 2 weeks!
it won't read anything, not even the web browser disk or the demo disk it came with. I just turned it on yesterday and it refused to read any disks. disks spin for about 2 seconds then stop. the cd drive doesn't make any of it's usual noises. all I get is the stupid screen that comes up when there's no disk.
any ideas on how to fix it? luckily it's < 30 days since I bought it.
i sure as hell hope that BB has my receipt in the computer b/c I don't know where it is. I bought it w/ a credit card so that might help.
anybody hear anything about dreamcasts spontaneously dying? (I didn't kick it or drop it, it's just been sitting on the floor all day) :|

drof: Just out of curiousity, was your Dreamcast "Made in Japan" or "Made in China?" Just curious. If you purchased it two weeks ago it is probably Japanese, as the Chinese ones seemed to hit the stores this past week.

At any rate, Best Buy is *indeed* getting in more games. I purchase "Mortal Kombat: Gold" and they still had plenty left at $9.99. I also grabbed "Metropolis Street Racer" but am wondering if that was a mistake since I don't hear much about it.

On a sidenote, I notice "The Big List" lists the Sega Keyboard at Electronics Boutique as $9.99. Does anyone know if they just dropped the price? I bought mine last Friday for $14.99.

Also, I bought "Slave Zero" at Best Buy for $9.99. This game is *very* cool for the price!

Oh, and "Half Life" was DEFINATELY never finished or released for Dreamcast. If you order it, you can kiss your $$$ goodbye.

These prices are IN-SANE!!!!!!!!!

On a sidenote, I am now on my second Shenmue game and my Dreamcast seems to have problems loading this one too! All of my other games load just fine. I put in Shenmue, I get the Sega Logo, then it goes back to the Sega Main Screen. Has anyone had problems with bad Shenmue Discs? I first thought it was my Dreamcast, but it reads *all* of my other discs just fine (I am up to a whopping 12 games now).

I guess I should do a search on the net to see if problems were ever reported.

EDIT Wow, a search on Deja.com (Finally it's no longer "Beta!!!") shows a lot of people had problems with Shenmue Disc 1. It seemed like two different arguements were happening. One side it was a defective disc and another side said it was a problem with the Dreamcast. (I was amazed by how many people described the problem almost word for word like I did above). Anyway, I'm going to exchange it one more time. It may still not work so well, but I'm going to be careful this time because this Shenmue case is cracked in several places (call me a perfectionist!).
