Those looking for Soul Calibur might try their local Sears. I was just at one where they were marked $29.99 in the case. When the sales person rang it up it was reduced to $19.99! I also picked up Rayman 2 that was priced at $29.99 but also rang up at $19.99.

<< I was looking at this Hong Kong toys Dreamcast stuff, and noticed that they show a VGA box that they claim has the passthrough VGA like the $49 Interact one. This one supposedly automatically switches between the DC and PC, and list for $13! Anyone know anything about this product?

Here's the Link. Scroll down a bit to get to the product.
>>

Yeah, I noticed that too, but I don't know if it means that there's an actual pass through (which I assume they would give you another vga cable for so that you can run it from the box to the video card) or if it's just a switch that switches back and forth from your tv and monitor. I was thinking about getting a vga adapter, but not if I have to unplug the monitor cable from my video card to plug into the adapter every time I want to play. Bah... stupid brief product descriptions!

BTW, from the picture, it looks like they give you another cable of some sort... maybe one that goes from the adapter to the video card perhaps?) Anyone have any ideas about it?
>>

Yea, I saw that cable too. Mmmm I wonder what shipping will be on this baby? I'm seriously thinking about getting one, as the Interact one is nowhere to be found, and the ones from EB does not support both PC and DC at the same time. You have to swap the cable manually.

Curses! What kinda lame product description is that? You'd think they don't really want to sell the thing!

Add Headhunter to the most wanted game list. Just got the Euro import version, plays like a charm with the boot disc. Shenmue II Euro is also coming tomorrow, looks like I'm booked for the weekend

Anybody know where to get Capcom vs SNK 2? I found it at videogameimports.com but it's expensive!!

Hopefully I'll get to visit Sears this weekend, it seems like one of the few places I wouldn't think of looking.

<< Theft is not a hot deal. It is theft.

Why not just shoplift a PS2, or hijack a taxi? There is no difference, except that you know you won't get caught.

Stop with the piracy already. There are many amazing games for $10 or less, fercrissake.

I'm so surprised not hearing anyone talking about Controller Stick. That might because a good one costs the same as the system alone.

But a controller stick would make Soul Calibur experience even better.

Yep, I paid $60 + $15 for S&H for one on Ebay. The green and gray one. It is really sturdy and nice.

The thing to look for at CompUSA is a generic listing for "DC Hot Games". They have a generic SKU and UPC sticker over the manufacturer's UPC code. They all ring up for $9.99. They had about 7 or 8 games, including Rainbow Six, MDK2, and Test Drive 6. I found these at the CompUSA in Dallas on the Dallas North Tollway. I don't know if it is nationwide or even regionally.

ahhh, I'm still waiting for my order at ebgames.com, it's been 'on hold' since Tuesday! Yes, I'm impatient.

I stopped by my local CompUSA today. They had all their dreamcast games in a bin for $9.88 each. So I took out my buy 2 get 1 free coupon and walked out with Tony Hawk2, D2, and Quake III. Looks like CUSA is getting rid of their DC stuff.

*CONFIRMED* (love doing that)

Soul Calibur for $19.99 at Sears. Case price still shows $29.99 but the register rings up $19.99. May not seem like a deal, but it's nearly impossible to find this anywhere for $20, let alone new. eBay, Half...almost always over $20, GameStop used $25. Haha, Sears actually comes through for me. Didn't see anything else that was interesting in their dwindling DC case, though.

Before you waste your time (like I just did), CALL CompUSA before you go. I just made a nice little trek only to find that they no longer have ANY Dreamcast games for sale. "We packaged them all up and sent them back to the manufacturer a few days ago). I walked ALL over looking for them before I decided to ask (my mistake).

I did stop at Circuit City on my way back and got Quake III and Unreal Tournament for $19.99 a piece. Also grabbed a Blue VMU for $9.99 and a Interact Gamepad for $9.99 (it's HUGE like an XBox Controller).

Oh, and it's the CompUSA in Monrovia, CA that ditched their Dreamcast games.

I just got back from CompUSA in Austin. A worker was in the next aisle so I grabbed him and asked him if the DreamCast games were being reduced. He said the games marked with a $10+ price were reduced to a little less than half. I grabbed Crazy Taxi 2 and Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 for $ 12.88 each (premarkup $30) and got Shenmue ($15 premarkup, 6.88 postmarkup) for 0.01 with the buy 2 get one free. They had at least a half dozen Shenmues there! They also had Rainbow Six, MDK 2, NFL 2k, & Quake 3: Arena. I don't remember the other titles. My grand total came out to $27.90 for the 3 games, plus the $25 GC I used had cost me $15! Woohoo! Thank you Anandtech for this bargain!!!!

I also stopped by Best Buy to pick up Crazy Taxi 1. Unfortunately, there were no markdowns for any of their games.

If anybody is looking for some basketball games, I've got NBA 2k1 and NBA Hoopz I'll sell for $20 shipped or trade for anything but basketball games. I picked them up at Compusa only to round out my purchase. PM me if interested.

CompUSA in Mountlake Terrace, WA still has MDK2 at $29.99. If anyone sees it marked down to $9.99 let me know.

Hi,

Got a couple of questions.. 1st of all, is there a difference between the Nyko and Interact DC extension cable? Is the Interact much nicer? Does it matter?

How are the Nyko controllers? Why I ask is because Funcoland is selling a Nyko controller and with the purchase of a controller, you get a free Nyko extension cord. Now.. I see that the Nyko extension cords are now being found for $1 at CUSA. Figures. I can still return mine though, which is good.

Is there a difference between the blue sega controller and the beige one that comes with the game? I bought a controller this evening and I didn't even notice that it was blue until I got it home.

Man.. I'm so pissed. I looked on this site early this evening and then checked over at BB.com for the V-Rally for $10. It was in stock at the time and I thought that I'd go out looking for games and then come back and build an order on top of V-rally on stuff that I couldn't find. I got back this evening and it is now out of stock. Damn! I really wanted that game too.

Questions on a couple of games. Is Ferrari 355 Challenge Passione Rossa a different game from Ferrari 355 Challenge? I'm just wondering if there are two games out there with similar titles.

I found a few games for $10 each and I'm not totally sold on them yet.

Tomb Raider- The Last Revelation Is it any good?
Tee Off- I figured that I should try a golf game, but after looking at the back, it looks more like a cartoon than a real golf game. Does it suck?
Spirit of Speed 1937- It's a race game with vintage cars. Anyone ever heard of it? Is it any good?

Another game that I saw for $20 is a game on the most wanted list. The game is Starlancer? Worth buying?

I bought the MC2 wheel tonight and that thing is nice for $30. I love that you can set it up on your lap and race.

What I bought tonight:

Crazy Taxi 1&2 Sam Goody $9.99 and $19.99
Virtua Tennis Sam Goody $9.99
Test Drive LeMans Babbages $19.99
F355 Challenge Passione Rossa $29.99 Babbages
Flag to Flag CART $19.99 Funcoland
Monaco Grand Prix Amazon $19.99
F1 World Grand Prix Amazon $19.99
Bleem for GT2 EB Games $5.99
GT2 EB Games $19.99
2 VMU's Sam Goody $9.99 ea
1 Madcatz MC2 Wheel Babbages $29.99
1 Blue Sega DC Controller Babbages $14.99
2 Orange Nyko Controllers Funcoland $9.99 each
2 free Nyko extension cords with the purchase of the 2 Nyko controllers Funcoland of course
1 Nyko S video cable Babbages $2.99

Believe it or not, I still have everything sealed in case I want to take it back. I figured that I would get everything that I need first and then decide what I wanted to do with this for sure. It's looking very much like I'm going to keep it at this point, even though I've bought more than $300 worth of stuff. A little more than I really wanted to spend, but what better deal am I going to get on something like this? I'm going on a spending spree because I want to be sure to get the core of what I want and then I can always add later.

What I really want yet is:

Sega Rally 2
Daytona USA
Test Drive Rally-V (really want)

If anyone has any opinions to give this DC newbie, I'm all ears. Well.. Except for the advice to open my game and start playing it.

Thanks,

Sal
