Damn... I had just checked Amazon minutes after Iceman had posted and it was already sold out. Oh well..

Same goes for Sega Marine Fishing at Target. I just paid $7.99 for my copy in Chicago two days ago.. I think places are going to continue having firesales until this stuff is wiped out.

Anyway.. This is my middle of the night bump..

Thanks for the heads up Tallest1, I ended up picking up the last copy of Tennis2k2 at the Gainesville Target. You definitely saved me some money there. I also picked up 18 wheeler for a friend for only 13.90. Some other deals that might be of interest. Crazy Taxi 2 was only 13.90, Sonic Adventure 2 was 19ish, and the NBA 2k2 was 27ish I believe. Keep up the good work Tall Geese.

Edit: I just realized that this post probably sounded pretty stupid considering Seyba's post about looking for a Dreamcast console. I just noticed that this thread doesn't get hit nearly as much as it did a few weeks ago. is that because the deals are fewer and farther between or is there a waning of interest in the Dreamcast right now?

I think the price cut on the console plateued the interest (whereas before, it was steadily dropping with the newer consoles being put out) so a band of people wanted to see what they could "salvage" from the price break. There aren't as many posts recently because they've already been mentioned... I'm sure that if more killer Dreamcast deal comes along, this thread will get a few more replies and 'thanks Tallgeese' posts.

But why complain? All the better for us, eh?

Just keep your eyes open, a lot of B&M stores still have stock of newer games, but haven't dropped the prices. At some point or another they will, and that's when you want to swoop in

Well...we covered a lot of stuff that there is for the Dreamcast, we've probably hit on every single game worth playing in this thread.
Not much else to do now except wait for some good deals, and play the amazing games we already have.

Bought Toy Commander for $5.50 at Target yesterday. Very cool game, interesting gameplay, great graphics...very difficult, though. Although it's toys, it's not a kids' game!

Also saw the above-listed games (Marine Fishing $5.50, Tennis 2K2 $20.90, etc.).

Got my kbtoys NBA 2K1 package with the free controller and VMU as well. What a deal!

The Fye music stores here still have a decent selection of games, maybe it's because their prices are high. I saw the Marvel vs Capcom for $29.99? One has the MC2 wheels for $60. I told them I bought one at Funcoland for $30 and asked for a pm. Too bad they don't do pm.

I've haven't seen this listed in the past 5 or 6 pages I've gone through, so I'll post this.

The Dreamcast currently has a large homebrew programming community for it, and there are quite a bit of downloadable home made ports for it. All you need is some patience (to figure things out) and burner to get lots of free stuff for it.

Some examples of ported software for Dreamcast:
Doom Engine (Play Doom 1, 2, etc. just need the files from the PC version)
Quake1 (shareware ver. on dcemulation, you can add the full version PAK to it though)
Wolfenstein 3D (Shareware or Full versions of Castle Wolf or Sphere of Destiny)
NES emulators (several)
SNES emus(most based on SNES9x)
Neo Geo Pocket emus
MP3 players
MPEG 1 video player
and lots more...

Oh yeah, if you're having Hardware troubles or you want to mod your DC go to the "Hardware Modification" forum of DC Emulation. (There's a thread on how to fix the reset problem already)

BB.com has some pretty good deals on DC games. I just bought Sega GT for $7.99 & Unreal Tourney for $9.99! Everywhere I been Unreal has been selling for $30. I think that is a pretty good deal.

I was at my local target yesterday and noticed the following on clearance and picked them up:

Jet Grind Radio - 5.50 (I had previously picked it up for 8)
Crazy Taxi - 6.90
Tennis 2k2 - 20.90
NFL 2k2 - 27.90
NBA 2k2 - 27.90

So, it pays to check out your local target and see what they have. I'm sure they'll continue to mark down their prices, so it might be worth it to look even after you pick things up so that you can get any price differences.

Also, does anyone have any experience playing NFL or NBA 2k2? 28 bucks is a good price for each, but I wonder whether I'll play them enough for it to be worth it, considering I already got the sports pack with nfl, nba, and mlb 2k1.

BTW, Virtua Tennis and Tennis 2k2 are definitely my favorite games. They are definitely different in their gameplay, with Virtua Tennis being more arcade-like, while Tennis 2k2 feels a lot more like I think tennis should. Virtua Tennis can often degrade into sheer reflexes.

Hmm.... I've seen some DIvX Movie Players for Dreamcast on the net...
Are they real? I thought that Dreamcast didn't have the processing power to decode and play DivX at a respectable frame rate..

Anyone seen these?

DC can play VCD, but not Divx. The framerate on the divx players is just too slow. In time it will work, though.

Or else call KB, maybe they gave you the wrong tracking number and that is someone else's package. Do you live anywhere near NorthBrook, IL? Would your packages normally got through there? Like Seyba said... anybody still know of a place to get a new DC for $50? I've checked every B&M that I've seen mentioned in this thread and have had no luck - I did find some pre-owned DC's for $55 (should I have jumped on that?)
