All depends on your motherboard/chipset and what combinations are stable. There's a ton of different ways to get different cpu and memory speed at different divisors, but again, different motherboards have different divisors available. I suggest you download
a little program called A64memoryfreq....all you do is input your desired multiplier, fsb clock, with the desired memory divider and it'll calculate your cpu frequency...or you can plug in values and isolate a certain value to see what you need. It was confusing to me at first, but then I realized there's nothing really complicated about it.

What kind of speeds should one expect with this stepping? I have a 148 (forgot stepping, but was one of the best back in the day 6+ months ago or so) and I can do 3000mhz Zalman 7700CU air cooled. I am running a DFI NF4 SLI-DR + 7800GT + OCZ EL Platinum Rev. 2 & an OCZ Powerstream 620W PSU. My 148 OCs well but the memory controller is not that good. I was thinking of buying this one to play around and if it beets what I have now, selling my older one. You think I can get this chip around 3000mhz with the setup I have? Can anyone vouch this stepping will even reaching 3000+ MHZ?

Yea, at these prices for the 144/146, they make a much better deal than any of the A64 line

This totally sucks. They tried to deliver mine today, but didn't wait long enough for me to get to the door and left. Now I have to wait until Tuesday to get the CPU. I'm never using FedEx again. I can't even pick it up at the office, plus I have a signature on file with them.:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|

well if you don't OC, it's not enough to buy a new processor. If you do, you'll probably a jump but it won't be outstandingly better.

Well, if you weren't so lazy, and camped @ the door instead ..err...anyway... just go to the local fedex pickup place, and they will give you the pacakge there. I have done this many times.

Home Delivery is an unmanned office. You can't go and pick up package. Kind of sucks, I'm waiting on the CPU to finish my wife's new computer. Anyways, I hope I can catch them tomorrow, but I have to work till 5pm.
