This is where zero-tolerance laws are bad. A 19-year-old and 14-year-old fucking shouldn't be an automatic crime. We need reasonable laws and reasonable judges that will take the maturity of each person into consideration before deciding if it's a crime or not. There is no specific age of consent that is appropriate for every person. We fuck ourselves over as a society when we turn consensual sex into rape when nobody was actually victimized. Americans are obsessed with following the exact letter of stupid zero-tolerance laws, even when it's counter productive and doesn't support the intent of the law.
Also, if we would just overcome our religions ignorance and stop expecting our young people to remain abstinent until adulthood or marriage then this wouldn't be as big a problem. We should be teaching our youngsters age 12+ how to protect themselves from STDs and unwanted pregnancy if they engaging in sex. Having sex is something they are hormonally programmed to do and abstinence almost never works. Our society doesn't need to stigmatize sex, we need to stigmatize folks spreading disease or becoming parents before they are ready.
A simple condom prevents almost 100% of the negative consequences from having sex and we don't have to be so afraid a simple, natural act. Then we can allow a reasonable judge to decide if this 14 year old kid really was taken advantage of and raped. Sounds like he was not, and demanding this particular pregnant woman be sent to jail because of the letter of the law only hurts the unborn child, the mom and society as a whole.
