Well I just purchased my first LCD it should be here in a week or less.

That is the one I ordered to all of you that have bought LCD's once it comes what are the first things I should do when it arrives?
1. How do I check for dead pixels
2. whats the best way to set up the colors/brightness ect.
3. . . .
This is a very expensive purchase for me I just don't want to screw up.
basically all I do on this computer is
1. Play World of Warcraft
2. PlaY City of Heroes
3. Watch anime/movies
So any advice or help you can give me to make my first LCD purchase a good one will be greatly appreciated.
P.S my current monitor is a NEC MultiSync FE 950 19" CRT
This should be a huge change for me, I hope I did ok.
