Hi guys,
I still haven't bought a new LCD yet. I've been looking a little here and there. Then I got rather aggravated when I saw that I missed the HP ZR24w for $300. So, I was looking around again this morning and found this EQD EQ2668 26" Widescreen LCD :

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...scrollFullInfo
For $229 + tax (local pick-up) it has some Pros and Cons:
Pros
1) Price: $229 is pretty cheap.
2) Local Pick-up: Easier to return it if I don't like it (although, I'd have to check the return policy first).
3) Resolution: 1920 x 1200.
4) Response time: 5ms Response time (unknown whether it is GTG or not).
Cons
1) Brand name: I never heard of EQD before.
2) Limited configurations: No Height or 90* rotation adjustments.
3) TN Panel: I do game a lot, but have been considering the HP ZR24w. While I'd suffer with a worse Response time, I'd get better colors when not gaming.
The customer reviews at Newegg show 10 out of 12 people gave it 5 stars, and the other 2 out of 12 people gave it 4 stars. That's taken with a grain of salt, but it's promising.
To make matters worse, MacMall is again offering the HP ZR24w with a discount and a rebate. This time it comes out to $329.99 shipped. Now that opens up a dilemma. Let's go through the Pros and Cons again:

Pros
1) Price: $329 for this HP IPS monitor is good.
2) Name Brand: I'd feel better with an HP over an EQD (hoping it'd never matter).
3) Resolution: 1920 x 1200.
4) Configuration options: Height and 90* rotation adjustments.
5) IPS panel: Should have better colors then an TN panel (though, I've only used TN Panels so far)
Cons
1) Online Purchase: Not an easy return if I don't like it.
2) Response time: 12 ms (On/Off) + 7 ms (gray-to-gray), I don't know how this would affect my gaming.
3) Price: $100 more then the EQD monitor (around $80 more after I pay tax on the EQD)
4) Aggravation / Shame: Having to explain to everyone that the SmartBuy HP monitors aren't refurbs.
So, I turn to you guys. I am ready to pull the trigger (Cash and Paypal ready to go), but not sure what I might be overlooking. I could buy them both (providing they have decent return policies) and see which one I like best (then I'd really know if the IPS panels colors are worth it, or if the Response time makes gaming worse, etc..). I'd rather not buy both. I'd rather make an educated decision and lessen the chance of having a hassle returning one later on.
-Thanks in advance for any help / advice you can give, Ken
BTW: I know it was a long post, but I always try to be thorough.
