I'm trying to figure out how to access the photos from the My Documents folder from a cloned drive.
The history:
Before swapping mobo, cpu and RAM (from FX-55, ASUS A8N-SLi Deluxe, 1GB Corsair VS to e6550, Intel DP35DP mobo, 2GB Corsair VS), I cloned the contents of my hard drive (74gig raptor) to a spare drive I had (250gig Seagate 7200.9) using the trial version of Acronis true image 11. I then reinstalled Windows XP using SP2 slipstream disc on the raptor (primary drive).
I hooked up the previously cloned drive and used windows explorer to navigate to the My Pictures folder on the cloned drive, but the folder containing my name says that it is A) empty; and b) cannot be accessed (restricted). A search of the cloned drive for any pictures pulled up thousands (some that I had saved to the old C drive, as it was called when I cloned it), but none of the ones I had saved in My pictures.
I do remember that I used a password to get into Windows after bootup, but if the folder is password protected, I don't see an option to enter the password.
Any help as to how I can find and transfer those pictures would be greatly appreciated.
