First, I know close to nothing about HDD, partitions and whatnot. With that said...
I recently bought a small Seagate server. It has 2x2TB HDD, the other used to mirror.
About a week after setting it up I couldn't access it any more. Maybe had something to do with automatically changing IP, the point is, I needed to reset and backup my data fast.
I pulled out the HDD and connected it to my PC, but I couldn't access the data. It said it was a GPT protective partition and after some research I found that you couldn't access GPT with XP 32-bit.
I then plugged it in to a Win7 64-bit PC and I got like 10 disk drives from D-O, all of them require me to format before I can use which is unacceptable since I need the data.
The disks seems to be in RAW file format and ranging from 1MB to 950MB+.
So this is where I'm at now. I really need the data, and hopefully after retrieving it I can simply put the HDD back into the server and make it work again.
