Hey guys. Some of you might remember me. It's been quite a long time since I've been here. I just got my account reactivated, thanks to help from Ray and the other mods.

I got busy with life, and went on to start a few teams in various DC projects over the years. I decided to make a comeback with TA though, so here I am

I've joined the few people actively working on Engima@home -- since this seems to be the most fun project I saw. TA needed some major help there too. We've gotten into the top 20 since I joined, and I've recruited a number of people to help the effort, including another OLD TA member, danzigrules So we're crunching away, and hopefully we can get into the top 10 (we nearly made top 5 for daily output) before this project is over.

If anyone else isn't sure where to put their cycles, I would recommend this project because: 1) it's a fun, neat concept 2) it will contribute to history, since the decoded message of the last transmission has NOT been made public knowledge 3) TA really needs help here.

Anyhow, great to be back. It looks like quite a few people are still around.

I'm going to list who i remember, off the top of my head. I probably remember more, so don't feel back if I couldn't pull your name out of the cobwebs.

danzigrules (you haven't changed much )
raysun2be (looks like you're still posting stats for everyone)
mechbgon (still riding your bike and staying clear of cars i hope)
virge (MIA?)
asslaminator1 (appears to still be crunching SETI - talk about dedication)
jonb (looks like you're still around)
lord_demios (MIA?)
bgod (MIA? probably still upset that i "telefagged" him so much in UT at the TA lanparty)

ok, so there's a lot of others that i will remember if i see them perhaps ill have to dig into the archives.

Welcome back, TheyCallMeSAK!

I no longer post stats, I let younger, quicker TeAm mates do that. I do occasionally fill in for the SOB stats.

ViRGE rarely posts here, but he is now a contributing author of Anandtech reviews and articles: http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=3108

BGod doesn't post here anymore, but I keep in touch with him, and he has become a UT master. The last time I played him in UT, it was so one-sided it wasn't even funny, I got fragged so much. :Q

Welcome back, SAK! [huh, didn't know I could rhyme that well

I came back not too long ago myself.
It looks like we could make a reunion with some very 'old' and ofcourse all the new members that have joined TA since we were gone.

BTW: I do remember you!?!?!?

also Two-Face, narzy, networkman, jator, wellcky, and others.
And let's not forget Appletalking, Engineer, HeavyIron, Postman, RC, Sukhoi, Jagators, LANMAN and all the others I forgot to mention.

yeah, I saw that you had returned. hence the "another" in the thread title.

You know, I forgot to mention your name though. How silly. Yeah I remember you too.

Now, where'd all those others go?!?!?!

Welcome back - it is great (for one of the newer posters ...) to see the old fighters return.
Once an TeAm-members - well, AFAIK - always a TeAm-member, for whom the porch light is on. :sun:

Good to see you back, SAK!

Yes, the UT days were a good time - I'm happy to load the game up again and dust off my trigger finger.

Hi Sak ,longtime no see!:Q ,& good to see you back

Yep I'm still crunching SETI ,though after S@H1 ended in Dec 05 I switched my 2 home rigs to DPAD until very recently (switched my main rig back to SETI for the recent international race we had).I'm currently stress testing my new Q6600 with Prime95 with the aim of getting it stable at 3.2GHz
Once that's done I plan to have 2 cores crunching SETI ,2 on DPAD & my X1950 Pro crunching F@H ,3 projects at once! lol:evil: ........ though thinking about it I may have to have 3 cores on DPAD so I can catch Coolkid .
Near xmas I'm going to be joining the F@H race ,so another project switch for me....err for my CPU that is ,& (I've been saying this for ages) I will be joining Rosseta sometime early next year.So you can see I switch around a bit now (at least on my own rigs anyway, remote rigs are all SETI except one which is on DPAD).

Ahh the TA LAN parties , I remember them ,though I only joined a few as at the time I only had dialup & ping rates across the pond were terrible!.Now on BB so I'd love to join a TA UT server again

Btw I've seen Virge in some of the hardware forum sections around here ,but I don't think I've seen him in DC for a while.
Haven't seen LD in years & years (or bgod either,I think)
When were you last around inccidently?

Ray
That was done by Virge!? ,wow didn't know that!

did you get a SLACR (g0), asslaminator? I got mine from newegg -- runs at 3.6 (currently 400x9) without a hitch. It only required that I up the voltage to 1.4. It hasn't crashed or had any problem a single time since I upped the voltage. Runs DC projects quite nicely

BGod a UT master eh? Which UT? The original? I haven't played that game in a few years. It's still one of the best though. I think I shall have to play BGod in UT. We'll see if he can last 5 minutes without crying and disabling the translocator this time!!!

Yea I've got a SLACR ,but I'm not letting it slack
You've got a great speed out of yours! ,I think my limiting factor is my cooler.
Its currently at 3.15GHz, vcore ~1.27(load) ,FSB VTT +12% ,stress testing with P95 as I type it's peaking at 65C!:Q, which is a little high for my liking ,though it is within safe limits (marginally).
With a better cooler I could quite likely run higher vcore & clock .....hmm tempting
What temps do you get?
