looks like they are continuing the F1 "narrow waist" look seen on the enzo, with the roofline and glass tapering inward just ahead of the rear wheels. this became the dominant design in F1, and is shown off very well by the 2009 car. i'm glad they didn't put a false nosecone on the car. instead of lower side scoops, the body lines and black board give the clear impression of an F1 sidepod and floor. that diffuser means business, as does the dash. i like it. very stylish and futuristic, and it screams "high performance".

After seeing the pics and reading the article, I'm glad they don't have a sound clip of the 4.5 litre V-8 because I'd need a change of pants.

That said, this morning on my ride into work I seen a Ferrari California on the express-way. Pininfarina shapes the sexiest inanimate objects known to man.

Heh, they sound best when they are not inanimate though

I appreciate the effort, Bane, but just about everything is blocked at work - ironically though ATOT isn't.


But I'm home now, and... :Q The headlights look weird. Big thumbs up to everything else though.

I am sure it's awesome, but not really digging the design all that much. Proportions are kind of odd, as are the headlights and sides are pretty plain and boring for a Ferrari.

The whole car looks organic somehow, like a mechanical animal. I love the side view, reminds me of the McLaren F1.

Does Ferrari completely redesign the their engines from the ground up every generation? Horsepower has been jumping considerably with the introduction of each new model.

not only does that look great, but damn the performance will probably blow everyone away. 570HP V8, 0-60 in 3.4 seconds....holy moley!

i don't find any part of the car plain or boring, but the headlights appeal to me the least - something about the way they cut in towards the center. i could do without the silver horse inches below the real badge.

I really like the look and the listed performance of this car. I loved the 360 but did not care for the 430. For us poor people, 458 will push the prices down on the used 430s and the 360 to a range where we can maybe afford it. I expect the 430s to take the biggest hit especially something like the Scuderia or 16m. So I want this car released ASAP so there will be nice selection of mint used 360s and 430s to choose from as people dump their current cars to upgrade to 458.
