Cholesterol is still a bit high, 233 but my HDL is 99 and tri's 67. Risk ratio is ~1/2 expected. Not that these numbers mean anything if I get run over by a blue hair while riding my bike.
That's much more ignominious than being run over by a millennial.

We have next Thursday and Friday off for Thanksgiving, and it was just announced that the company will be shut down the entire week due to an Oracle update, and we won't have to use PTO!

I got my $10 fat PS3 settlement check today...I could have got $65 if I could prove I had installed linux on it before April 2010 but I guess $10 is $10....

Still had my original receipt for my 60GB launch day PS3 when I filed the claim earlier this year....

I use a prepaid cell for my internet, and got a sms Sunday saying I used my high speed allotment, and my speed would be throttled til the next bill. Well, my hotspot speeds aren't being throttled but they are on the phone itself. Not sure how that happens, but I'll take it :^)

It's good to know people that know people. The short story is that the kid needs a transmission in the '02 Accord. I was quoted $3500 with labor....on a $4K car....Nope. Called a friend that's been in the car business for 40+ years. He calls a guy he's known for years who just so happens to have a rebuilt one on his shelf. $1400 installed with a year warranty. Beats a new car payment and a poke in the eye. Dropping it off today and it should be ready tomorrow. And my friend is letting me drive his spare car until it's done.

And my friend's wife just stopped by offering to work if I needed her to. My CSR broke her ankle last Saturday (surgery today) and will be out for several weeks. I'm either living right or kissing the right asses.

I played a round of golf on my home course this morning (Tilden Park, in Berkeley, CA), teed off 5 minutes before dawn in the fog. It was so foggy I actually drove past the course (that I've played over 600 times), missed the entrance and had to turn around 1/2 mile later.

I walked with my new push cart.

I didn't seen a single other golfer out there for the entire round!!!!!

When I got off 18, there were a few guys around. I heard someone say they played the back 9, but I never saw one other person other than a couple maintenance guys. The course was pretty soggy. It was threatening rain, but there wasn't any. There were a fair number of worms on the greens, some turkeys and deer on the course. Yesterday, I sank over 100 feet of putts on the course, teed off even earlier. Made putts of 10, 11, 12, 16 and 35 feet! Tonight it will pour and I won't play there again for probably months.

I'm so happy for him. He hated college.
Oh how I hated college too, but I'm glad I buckled down and went through with it. Had I not I have no clue where I would be today career wise and financially. I nearly dropped out after my freshman year with like a 1.8GPA. My second semester I earned 6 credits and failed one of the courses in my major and had to retake it.

I hated it myself. Ugh. Waking up thinking you missed finals.

As I mentioned in the first world problems thread, packages that were supposed to come earlier came Friday and the Surface is SUPPOSED to be available for pickup today. I'm going to hopefully get it at lunch so I'm crossing my fingers.

I'm stoked about auto knives being legal in MI now (since Oct. 2017), I just found out this weekend! So I've been looking at which one I wanna get. I'd like an OTF the most so I'm leaning towards a Microtech Ultratech (double sided blades are still illegal because of reasons so gotta go with single):
