Flick it with what? An automatic center punch?

"Hammertime" now has a completely new meaning.Their dicks obviously. Like a boss!
Go with the revolver as it is less maintenance and is more trouble free than a semi automatic. Semis, need to be cleaned and lubed often and they can jam, something a revolver will not do. Only thing, I would get a 5 or 6 inch barrel version. They are more accurate, easier to shoot than the short barreled models. I have a Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44 Magnum with a 6 inch barrel and while it is noisy, the recoil is very manageable.
When I get enough money to add a polymer frame to my collection, an M&P will probably be my entry. I just like the lines of it more than the Glock or XD/XDm, although the XD/XDm would be more practical due to the 1911-ish design.
My M&P is probably the best "feeling" semi-auto I have ever held. It just feels comfortable. For whatever reason, I hate the feel of a Glock.
FWIW after owning both (got the 686 a couple of months ago) IMO the 686 is the better gun. More accurate and I like being able to switch between .38 and .357.
I installed the APEX sear and striker block in the M&P which makes the trigger much better than stock, but it's still miles behind the 686's single action pull.
I've put almost 2000 rounds through the M&P without any failures
i can't imagine any double action trigger, even with a trigger job will ever beat a single action trigger.
Yes, because the gun is bigger, and bigger guns are more dangerous, dont you know anything?
.357 is a more powerful round than .45 ACP, if i'm not mistaken...
Ever tried a Colt Python (.357)?

I don't know about "beat" but you should check out a Para-Ordinance LDA (light double action)...1911 frame with I think around a 3lb DA triggeri can't imagine any double action trigger, even with a trigger job will ever beat a single action trigger.
so you're saying on a revolver, the double action trigger pull is better than the single action trigger pull?
