just went out for lunch and they are still talking about it on the radio here. a black guy called in and said it bothered him when rg3 said he wanted to be compared to aaron rodgers over cam newton. he said it hurts the entire black community.
how fucking ridiculous is that shit. you could tell this guy was inner city and kept bringing up that stuff like that is the talk about rg3 in the inner city as well as "black barber shops".
also heard rob parker has been suspended from espn.
Well he's already better than Cam Newton, so if I were him, I'd want to be compared to Rodgers, Brady or Manning too. Doesn't matter if they're white, they're the best 3 QBs in the league.
On the other hand, Cam Newton should want to be compared to RG3.
I have developed a serious man crush on RG3 this year.
Rob Parker calls Mark Sanchez a "cheeseburger homey"
Adding fuel to the firestorm ignited by his inflammatory remarks questioning Robert Griffin's blackness, ESPN talking head Rob Parker found a new target - Jets starting quarterback Mark Sanchez.
Sanchez was asked earlier in the week if he thought his poor performances might be a brown flag for other teams considering drafting a Latino QB.
"I don't know, man. I never set out to be the worst Latino quarterback. I just wanted to be the most overpaid QB in the league."
Parker was, to say the least, unsatisfied by Sanchez's response. "The guy answered in perfect English without making a single gang gesture or showing any hint of an accent. I never hear about him cutting the stadium grass. He's got a little too much gel in his hair, but I never see him wearing a bandana or carrying a flag. He's putting off having children until after he's married. I just don't think he's down with the cause, I mean, if he got really drunk during the Puerto Rican Day parade, could you see him groping innocent woman. He's not a real homey, he's a cheeseburger homey."
Steve Smith, for his part, noted he was uncomfortable with the concept of sexually assaulting anyone.

RG3 graduates at the top of his high school class, gets a degree in 3 years at Baylor, wins a Heisman trophy, and is smart, well spoken and responsible......yeah Parker, I guess you wouldn't want him to be black.
This is from the yahoo story:
If those are facts, then good for you, RG3. I grew up in the South and this is the first time I hear about cornball brother.
ESPN fired him today http://www.freep.com/article/20130108/SPORTS01/130108078
“It was just a conversation that’s had in the black community when athletes, or famous entertainers or whatever, push away from their people. And that’s really what it’s about. You saw it with O.J. Simpson, and some other people, where they say, ‘Well I’m not black, I’m O.J.’ So it’s more about that, not about RGIII and what’s going on. It’s more about this thing that we’ve battled for years and why people have pushed away from their people. It’s more about that.”
was just reading about this on extremeskins. he made another comment about rg3 the other day as well, before this firing...

What is he saying!?..None of that made sense.
He's saying that his people spent years and years of fighting to be equal and considered as equals by others and so when a few of them manage to be considered equals to others and cease to consider themselves as lesser, then they have abandoned the people that want to be equals and that is bad.
