None of this invalidates the claim that RG3 relies heavily on the run. If you're going to sit there and point at Griffin's passing stats and think that it represents some huge accomplishment, I'd invite you to take a look at Cam Newton's rookie season.

Newton had over 4,000 yards passing last year (and IIRC, set the rookie passing mark) and yet you guys were declaring him a "runner first, passer second." At the current pace, RG3 will end up with fewer passing yards than Newton's rookie season while easily surpassing his rushing totals. So Griffin, whom you've declared "pass first, run second" won't have the yardage stats of Newton, whom you've declared "run first, pass second."

My thoughts from the other football thread:

To say that Luck is not much of a stretch from being in Canton is a huge stretch in itself. You need to do more than just one season and we're not even half way through. Sounds like an immature statement or someone just 'wanting' it to be. He may very well end up there but he's got another 15yrs of football to go.

On the RG3 tip you guys are very short sighted here as well. He is a pocket passer. Just happens that he's fast when he runs. Flash in the pan? I don't think so and neither do the multitudes of NFL players who have played against him, watched film on him (Osi) or played with him. He brings more than just speed to the position. His leadership is outstanding. His willingness to work as hard or harder than anyone on the team. He's changed the attitude in Washington for the better and that's evidenced by being within one possession of winning or tying each game this year. I suspect we will see the Giants get chin checked this week and many will start to believe its not just Luck who is the 'Real Deal'. There will be deniers no matter what. But in my mind to say that Luck will make RG3 look like a blip on the radar screen of NFL history is a bit myopic and maybe wishful thinking.

The biggest thing is what players think on the field. For example.

I find both of them better looking than Luck's fiancé, so get over it. Luck's fiancé is good looking but the other two are hotter to me. I am sure I could find hotter women than Tannehill's wife and the TE girlfriend that are not blonde.

Get over yourself in thinking that just because I find someone to be hotter than his little brunette that you don't agree with that I must be wrong due to a type from something you perceive. You have proven nothing as my "type" is in a whole other spectrum.
