I saw this on digg, and here is the link to the article.

They figure they deserve $150,000 per song downloaded between June and October of this year. LOL

Also on MP3.com (run by Cnet), so while I have not seen anything on the wires, this seems to be legit.

Yeah... so Italy has a GDP of 1,765,537,000,000... $1.7 trillion. Therefore, only seven counties have a GDP greater than what the RIAA is demanding. He is correct.

Just one of those "show" lawsuits...they'll never get an enforceable judgment against AllofMP3 in Russia, much less a collectable one. However, on paper it'll look like the RIAA won a huge case.

It's from Wikipedia and it's in millions of USD. 44,454,843 million USD = 44 trillion USD. I would have thought it was obvious....

Actually, I am pretty sure one of the last obstacles to Russia joining the WTO is their (in)action regarding the allofmp3 issue.

And of course they don't expect to get 1.6 trillion, but still, it's a pretty ridiculous stunt that is gonna give allofmp3 a lot of exposure.
