Protect your car's paint by making it look ugly as sin? Not to mention that when you do take it off, your paint will be two different shades with a visible line seperating the covered/uncovered part of the hood/bumper.
thats why its garaged. so you don't get the two tones. and two tones is better than rusted out notches becuase you end up behind a dump truck every day on the way to work

These actually work. My dad's pickup has one and it keeps the bugs off the front of the hood.

The rest of those I agree with though.
I drive with one on in the Winter for one reason, we don't use Salt ont he roads like you easterners do, we use gravel, I like my hood to be painted thankyou. In the summer it comes off.

The people who don't use a Hood Shield out here are fools

My car has 110,000 miles on it (mostly highway miles). I have two small nicks on the leading edge of my hood, neither of which is down to the metal. You can't even tell unless you have your eye a foot away from the hood otherwise you'd never no the difference.

Besides, those things are ugly as hell. Nothing pains me more than to see a nice looking car with a dumb-looking bra covering up it's front end.

Ohh, and #6:

States that make you use a front license plate. That just KILLS the front end of certain cars (Porsches, Corvettes especially). Glad I live in NC

I saw a riced up Hyundai with Chinese/Japanese characters all over it.

Since I can read Japanese, I knew it said Mitsubishi.

But how would a Mexican guy know that right?

Yesterday i was behind an integra that was lowered way down. Everytime he came to a bump(quite often in michigan) he hit his brakes. He was doing 35 in a 45. Him and i both ende dup turning onto the same street, so i took the time to pass him. He tried to keep up with my cherokee, but failed miserably.

Aren't those the same guys that have to go over speed bumps at an angle?

yep. They practicaly have to get out and get a jack under their car to go over any type of bump in the road. I would HATE to have to jack up my car everytime i wanted to change the oil.

Heh, i have a 12" sub in my '92 3 door Ford Escort 1.4 L (the base model) for that "extra kick". Stereo's not good enough to hear it too well outside the car unless i have the door windows and sunroof open!

I'm thinking of adding a spoiler to it, but it'll be one of the standard Ford ones, or close to...no picnic table for me! Hell, it's sooo funny watching all the "ricers" over here in the UK, they drive around in little Vauxhall Novas or Ford Fiestas with tinted windows, huge alloys and about 2 12/15" subs, which fill up the entire boot (trunk)! Where i used to live, most Thursday/Friday/Saturday nights a load of them would go cruising through the town centre in convoys, it was so funny watching all these people trying to look cool in their Novas/Fiestas/Escorts!

Granted at the time i had a 3dr Nova, and gave it some welly if i got mixed in with them, and turned the stereo up, but it was so funny to see them!

Luckily neons etc aren't that popular, tho on the right cars they can look cool (aka The Fast And The Furious), but not on some little 3dr hatch!

Actually, one of the funniest things i've seen to do with cars, is someone (again, where i used to live) had a Relient Robin (the 3 wheeler ones, like in Only Fools and Horses (if u get it over in the US), always get laughed at) with fat rear wheels, painted red with a reasonably big hooped spoiler on the back! Looked very weird!

Change that to any Evo, and you'll be right! Those things have tremendous handling! I've been in one, and i'd say that the spoiler is definately needed to keep those wheels on the ground with the acceleration they got!

2) 20" chrome wheels on Geo Prisms and Dodge Stratus (or any other car of that ilk).
3) Bug deflectors on pickups/sport utes. BLEH!!!!!!!!!!!
4) Rice stickers. Grow up biatch!!!!
5) 5 ft tall spoilers on the back of FWD burners. The only cars that have earned the right to have a big ass spoiler on the back are the Road Runner, F40/F60, and the late Supra

Feel free to add to the list
Despite your warning, people are still trying to get you started on bras... Something we should know?

regarding #5, you left

1970 Plymouth Superbird off your list.
You could do chinups on that thing!

There is a reason for that one though. Without that wing the superbird will actually have negitive downforce. If you go fast enough, it can lift right off the ground. The wing is there to keep the ass on thew ground where it belongs

Thank you! (See sig)

And amen to all of the above. I hate bras also, just don't think they look good, regardless of functionality.

Forgot to type a post before hitting reply, sorry. These trucks have a reason, most people with them go offroading, it makes it a lot easier with big tires and a lift. What pisses me off though, is when they take a truck and lower it so it can barely make it over a speed bump. Then they put a spoiler on the back. Why does a truck need a spoiler? Oh, and CD's hanging from mirrors, WTF is that all about?

Mostly rice, but sometimes a Festiva gets caught under there.

LED lights anywhere except for one inside on your REAL alarm system. Neon lights too.

I think wings still take the cake though. Stupid ricers!

HEY...no making fun of Superbirds. When I was a kid I thought those were about the coolest thing that ANYONE could ever drive, I still enjoy seeing one, although you hardly ever see one on the street anymore.

Saw a similar thing here in Tucson.
This guy (old man) had glued pennies all over his old POS van. Completely covered.
Think about the weight :Q

Edit:
Forgot to add the stupid small wheels sticking out 6".
How retarded is that!!!
