1) Bras. Don't get me started on these
2) 20" chrome wheels on Geo Prisms and Dodge Stratus (or any other car of that ilk).
3) Bug deflectors on pickups/sport utes. BLEH!!!!!!!!!!!
4) Rice stickers. Grow up biatch!!!!
5) 5 ft tall spoilers on the back of FWD burners. The only cars that have earned the right to have a big ass spoiler on the back are the Road Runner, F40/F60, and the late Supra

2 and 5 are the worst. Yesterday I saw a 89 accord with a whopping 100-120 horsepower with a ridiculously large (and totally useless) spoiler on the back. Looked f-ing retarded.

All the time I see people in sh*ty little cars that are worth jack with big chrome wheels. God it's sad.

These actually work. My dad's pickup has one and it keeps the bugs off the front of the hood.

Protect your car's paint by making it look ugly as sin? Not to mention that when you do take it off, your paint will be two different shades with a visible line seperating the covered/uncovered part of the hood/bumper.

Aww come on NFS4 you and I both know that bra's, huge ass "bling bling" wheels, and stickers have the potential to add like 50hp!!

Some spoilers look allright on some cars but when someone puts a spoiler that goes higher than the top of the car on a neon....they need to be smacked.

Unpainted/different colored ground effects look aweful!

I see this white Chevy Corsica with wide tires that stick out of the wheel well by 4-5 inches every morning on the drive to work. It also looks to be lowered down several inches. Of course it has brand new silver rims on it that are probably worth more then the entire car.

It looks so damn stupid. When you are behind it it looks like the axle is going to break because the tires are too far apart.

Not to mention in NY, you can be ticketed for having tires exposed outside your wheel wells I beleive.

Ricers make me laugh when I see them.

Some kid in my class has a 4th gen accord lx (like 100 hp) he added a huge wing on the back, 16 inch chome wheels,2 15 inch subs in the back in a box that takes up the entire trunk, and a black widdow body kit, he actually tried to race me. He claims he beat my friends stock v6 'stang too (total bs)

RE: #2: the only thing worse than 20" chrome wheels on a crap car are wheelcovers designed to look like 20" chrome rims.

Under-car neon kits (or neon kits at all for that matter) pretty much make me hurl.

Those brightly-colored spoiler/wing thingies that attach to your wipers....what is up with those?

That's what you want in NY a lowered car. Maybe you can store it for the winter but all the parking lots, driveway, and such are all at an incline and you end up bottoming out every time you try to pull in some where. I laugh when I see kids driving around in their supped-up cars. I guess I just grew up and prefer luxury over flash. For the amount some spend on the add-ons to the car that actually make it look cheesy they could almost get a nice BMW or Lexus or RAM 3500.

That must be it, I'm just too old now to appreciate the crap some people put on their cars. But even when I was in HS and College I never had nor wanted anything flashy. Not practical or logical in my area. We get a few weeks of summer then rain in fall and spring. then six months of snow and cold. I suppose if I grew up in Miami I would like brass fenders and 5' spoilers.

What really kills me is the base. Who cares? What would impresses me is a nice sounding system that when you close the door those outside can't hear it.

I saw a neon the other day that had some subs in it and all you could hear was a constant rattle. I thought the damn bumper was going to rattle off!

IMHO stereo systems are good in moderation and if you try to get a decent sounding system. Buying 3 15" subs to put in a civic is just plain stupid. If someone put one 10" or even a 12" sub just to give it a little more "kick" I can respect that, but people who crank their bass just to get attention piss me off.
