Are Right Angle Display Port cables a real thing? ....meaning, is it a thing that should exist?
I have an issue trying to Vesa mount some LG displays on a large triple monitor stand that doesn't leave enough room for LG's brilliant and apparent permanent decision to place their ports directly next to the mounts, perpendicularly, which is a known problem.
I've seen right angle Display Port being sold, but I'm wondering if this is a good idea or should be avoided--does the bend compromise the wires in any way?
I learned some time ago that just because it's sold, doesn't mean it should exist: Yes, a friend decided to buy a Firewire-to-USB cable that he somehow managed to find on one of those crap Amazon stores. I warned up, but watching his laptop melt when the obvious happened was somewhat entertaining.
Of course I could get offsets and that's what I will likely do, but I'd prefer the displays hang tight to the mount as they are.
