Righto heres the deal im putting a comp together for my gf outta all the old junk ive got lying around hehe it'll be a p3 500e noe the prob is i have no old monitors

i got this really really really old dunga monitor from a mates place im using win2k atm the screen is completly jarbled and looks likes its moving aross the screen really fast etc.. with this monitor i boot up press f8 and choose enable vga mode it works fine hmmmmmmmmmmmm...

i set my display settnigs to 256 coulors and defult monitor tried plug n play aswell and boot normal it still gos crazy damn odd if you ask me..

its badge on the front says AOD it has a serial no. on the back of cm-333 you mission should you choose to accept (accept it accept it) hehe is to see if there are drivers or anything for this old peice of crap.. coz i cant even find a manufactures www for this AOD company ..

Boot up into VGA mode, then make sure that resolution is 640 x 480, and refresh rate is 60Hz.

Have you tried changing to display to Standard VGA 640X480?

There is a AOC CM-326 driver in Win98.

Yep, as others have suggested, 640x480. Sounds like you have just a plain old VGA monitor, not SVGA, that doesn't do anything higher than that resolution.
