Oh please, there are much better phones made in better places. Mexico? Really, you know there are slaves making them too.

And keyboards? Who uses them anymore? A good phone can listen to you talk, far better and safer than a crappy keyboard.

Who wants a physical keyboard these days? The Blackberry is DEAD! BES is DEAD! Nobody wants that crap from 2005 any more. Back then, sure it was the BOMB but (RIM) just sat on their laurels, laughing at Apple and Google's "gimmicks" while falling down hard. Fuck them! They deserve exactly what they get.

They come out with a phone with a screen that moves when pressed (Storm) and think that's going to kill the iphone? Hahaha!

The Z phones may be nice, but too late. Damage done. Sic Transit Gloria. BB is done!

1) Fact: Apple phones are mde by engineering students doing "internships". OK .... "forced internships". Want your degeree? Oh, you need to work in factory XYZ for160 hours ... in 2 weeks.

2) No one that is techy that I care about (IT department for company of 8000+ people in defense contracting) in my company ever talks to their phone. You actually serious?

3) who wants these phones? According to Chen, Wall Street. You do read right? You are just stating personal opinions instead of using information gathered from sources. The soon to be released BB Classic is be driven 100% by market forces. Not sure if hte thumb wheel is coming back but if it does it is because of demand for it. RUMOR: Full QWERTY keyboard, 5" screen (square not rectangular) and reintroduction of hte thumb wheel. All driven by Wall Streeter requirements gathering.

Android and iOS are both OSes from 2007. Most phones are running on operating systems that are from somewhere between Windows XP and Windows 7. I am running an OS that is from 2011/2012. I am so upset to be on a second gen phone OS. having used it for a year. Sorry, your phones are outdated. Not that you would admit it.

Did love the latest iPhone 5s commercial I saw. I was laughing. It showed NOTHING that hte phone did that separated it from the competition. But it was pretty damned cool. It basically said ... HEH, we play games. WHOOOOPIEE!!!!! You know, tos things the PS4 and XBone do? WE do 10% of them really crappily... Yayyyyy!

Anyone here actually following Nanthealth and the potential implications? I am. But I know the answer. You don't have to respond. I already know that 98% of you are ignorant and don't read beyond what other articles(seeking alpha type garbage that relies on 1 year old information) are capable of telling you. For those that are rushing off to Google, here's your first cookie:

You are ignorant, man.

You dont actually have a known destination or plans with friends? Are you that car that almost crashed into the Jersey Barrier on Friday?

OK, you do. What are the metrics though. SHOW ME NUMBERS? Show me the 95% use case. I drive my cars 20,000 miles a year and guarantee that I don't need anything other than gas for 19,000 of them. The other 1000 of them require nothing more than setting up GPS before I exit my drive way. If you do sales, fine. But how much time are you actually saving? Next to none percentage wise ....

ignorant because i use my phone as a voice-controlled GPS?

i tell my phone, "OK Google Now". and then i tell it "navigate to <insert place i need directions to>". and then it just switches to google maps navigation GPS mode, and gives me audiovisual turn-by-turn directions.

since it is hands free, i can do it easily while driving.

no need to print directions anymore, or use a standalone GPS, or even type on my phone for that application.

no wonder you hate your job, lol

Your job requires that you spend more than 40 hours working? I don't want e-mail at home. If I own a business, sure. But then I would be one of those douches on vacation at the pool with a laptop on my lap the whole time. Might as well be dead. Sorry, see this at Disney World every damned year. Ya, great cvacation .... for everyone but the money earner.

THE ONLY THING NEW IS THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO TYPE INTO THE PHONE. Quit playing games.

So it is faster than the 30 seconds it takes to do on my Garmin or 10 second on my Blackberry? What is your point? My blackberry does voice control. I don't know how fast it is. I don't care. I don't use it because the way I do it takes 30 seconds to do on my Garmin. My Blackberry does turn by turn and all the crap you stated. What is your point? Where are you going with this? Do you even know what A Blackberry can do or are you just a fanboy? MY BLACKBERRY PHONE DOES EVERYTHING YOU JUST SAID WAS ANDROID EXCLUSIVE!

So is your way better or simply different? It's ONLY DIFFERENT!

This is like saying that everyone needs a smartwatch. Iit does everything your phone does that is already in your pocket but in a crippled shitty kind of way.

AHHAHAHAHAHAH

FANCY.

Never used voice control on my BBRY. It just told me how to get to the Boston Museum of science in about 10 seconds.

I better sell it and get an Android!

So far, you highlighted one killer feature tht Blackberry can do and I'd assume that iOS does also.

Can you use open protocols to share your map to the instrument cluster in your car? No? Oh .... Blackberry will provide that to you soon enough. But you know that because you follow Blackberry like I do.....

I find it quite entertaining actually. One man and his few shares of BBM trying to will Blackberry back into relevancy. It doesn't matter how good (or bad) BB10 was, it didn't win anyone over or even stop the bleeding. Their best chance to survive is to find some business model outside of making phones because almost no one is buying them. I actually think they would have a chance if they forked Android and made a completely encrypted, private phone for IT and paranoid people, and the few people who still want a physical keyboard.

agreed, they should have switched to making specialty products on a competitive platform

Good technology wants an ipo and has releases financial data.

If their ipo falls through, a lot of people will be looking for a new MDM provider very soon.

The NSA and Feds won't let them do that. Several national governments wouldn't either. India, Saudi Arabia, and China, to name a few.

Disagree. The strength of android is the apps and Google play, which BB can't get if they forked android. I'd be like a phone version of the Kindle Fire with the Amazon App store, which BB can get access to since the release of 10.2 anyway.

BBRY ...

a total of 1.2 million licenses issued for BES10, including more than 10% of total licenses traded in from competitors' Mobile Device Management platforms

Revenues are finally flat lining.

Stock up 10% in pre-market.

They are on target to be cash flow positive by the end of FY 2015. At that point, I think this threads title will need changing.

I'm still loving my Z30, just wish the Android apps ran a little better...if they can tweak the OS to be more compatible I could see a lot more consumers make the switch, navigating my phone is much more intuitive than Android is, swiping up/down/left/right to get to things is uber simple to get used to

I have a Q10 and I love the thing. I had an android device that I hated, tried to sell it but dropped it once by accident and the damn screen broke. I have dropped this phone a number of times and it is still going strong be it quite scratched up. Never found an app that I need not available in the store or on a mobile webpage and I dont play candy crush or angry birds. I also was running with windows phone for awhile but even thou I liked the OS I still missed the keyboard from my old blackberry curve.

They officially announced 2.

One has the blackberry "belt" with the return of the thumb stick (or whatever it is called). That's the Blackberry Classic.

The other is a 1440x1440 monster having the highest pixel density of any phone to date (except for possible unannounced phones of course). That is going to be called the Blackberry Passport. That thing looks nice.

Pics of the Passport:
http://crackberry.com/blackberry-ce...y-passport-and-blackberry-classic-smartphones

Thing looks nice. I want a touch screen though. Rumor is it that the keyboard on the Passport is capacitive so it can be used like a thumb stick to scroll and whatnot.

I still want a Z50 though ..... Grrrrr .... no news on that. I think they want to sell of the Z30 stock first.

Hear the Amazon news? When 10.3 launches, it is coming with the Amazon App Store. I am hoping that the Android functionality is perfect in 10.3. I would think it is obviously better than 10.2.x but I am wondering if they got it to the point that 99% of apps work. I jsut hope that they are smart enough to filter out apps in the Amazon store that don't run on 10.3 or else people will be pissed. Or atleast show the app and say it's "currently not compatible with your device".

It's interesting that you say that. Blackberry can't sell the phone as an Android because it is not, but they could advertise that it is installed with the Amazon App store. Hrmmmmm.....

Not that I care much. The one or two Android apps that I need work on my Z10.

I wouldn't call BB10 intuitive to navigate. But once you learn it, it makes Android a headache to deal with. I have 2 Android tablets and an iPad in my house. Whenever I have to touch them, the inferiority in OS navigation shows.

I have actually been using the Amazon app store on my Z30 for a while now...so far so good, haven't loaded anything that hasn't worked. I have the same problem when I'm helping my wife with her iPhone or her brother with his Android, I keep trying to swipe my way around and it just feels clunky not to be able to:\

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the LG G3 has a pixel density of 538 PPI whereas the Passport is at 452 PPI.
