This is selling for about the same price, if not higher, on ebay, plus higher shipping costs. And at Amazon it's $71 with free shipping. Not sure if it's available in-store.

I might jump on this. I've been using a CD/MP3 player at the gym and it's just too big. I'll just need to wait for a good deal on an SD card.

Does the NexIIe come with any memory? Maybe I misread, but it looks like it has no internal memory, and doesn't come with a memory card.... Sounds like a neat little player/portable drive.

Ok, I went for the Rio. I went by my local Walmart and they had ONE left on the shelf (I'm not sure if it was clearance or not). It had been previously opened, so I was a little leary buying it. Nevertheless, the my desire overcame any inhibitions and I go it.
As the review state, the radio tuner sucks. The sound quality is very good and the headphones, in my opinion, are fine on their own. Why spend a lot of money on another set of headphones when all you're gonna do is sweat all over them! The plastic carrying case is a little too small to hold the player, but at least it's snug. The player construction is solid and I like the the rubber coating around it. The thing is LIGHT, too. One neat feature on it is the stopwatch - I'll definitely use that since I hate wearing a watch when working out.
I'm happy with it and I think I'll keep it. I only wish I could download songs to it without using the software...but no biggie.

I wonder if they've changed the way you d/l music to their players, because with my Rio 600 I just use Windows Media Player 9 and it works fine....

Yeah, I hate paying for built in memory when I already own a few CF cards. I just wish the Nex had an FM tuner. Are there any others comparable to it that do?Originally posted by: Growltiger

Nice - the Nex takes CF cards. That makes for a much better deal since my camera uses CF and I didn't feel like investing in SD.
