This kind of sucks. I played the heck out of it back with the beta/demo. Went to Quakecon that year and I still have a stack of those orange cards with beta keys. I bought QW when it came out, but then nobody I knew wanted to play it so...

I did play the heck out of WolfET though. I was the engi that the rambo medics were afraid of.

Actually there is even a leauge running with about 30 teams participlating. It will pause for some time now but on weekends there will be some 5v5 gathers. Check http://www.splashdamage.com for more information in case you are interested playing some ET:QW again

I actually had a copy of this game that came with a video card. Being sans broadband at the time I never played it. I'm not sure what happened to the copy.

I was somewhat interested because I was a huge fan of RtCW multiplayer. I'm probably going to get shit for saying this, but W:ET was just an overall shittier version of that that game. RtCW MP was so good that it was still a decent enough game in spite of Splash Damage's largely ill advised changes made for ET. ET had a few clever maps and more stuff, but most of the stuff was contrary to the basic game design. And somehow the graphics seemed worse.

It really is. When i first played W:ET, I said "wtf is this? A clone of RTCW?"

The graphics IS worse. But it's all you have since nobody plays RTCW anymore.

Good game.Also played from the beta on. Only game in my optinion that has come close to recapturing the fun of RTCW MP. I'll always be chasing the masterful co-op FPS feel of that game.
