I have about 200 DVDs that I want to rip 1:1 to iso files. Basically:
* I don't want any compression at all. I will do that later on if necessary.
* I want a program that can handle scratched/old DVDs.
* I want an exact copy except...
* I prefer region coding removed (most of the DVDs I have are from a different region)
* I prefer any security items removed.
I looked at various options including DVD Decrypter from DVDFab but it reduces my 4443MB dis to 4300MB so it seems to remove more than just some security stuff.
There is DVD Decrypter but it's from 2005, i.e. 14 years ago. I don't mind using older software but 14 years is a LONG time when it comes to software. If this is doing a good 1:1 copy with good error correction (from bad discs) and circumventing regions/encoding then that would be my preferred option.
BurnAware seems a reasonable option but it can't read the DVD title. That per-se is not an issue but it makes me question the quality of the product.
Ashampoo seems to be rated high but they seem to trick you into buying their stuff.
Any input is appreciated.
