After the Judge tossed the weapons charge, I'm inclined towards "not guilty on all charges" as the most likely outcome--I doubt the defense will even need to ask the judge for a mistrial but I'm sure they have motions at the ready just in case. Prosecution was fighting an uphill battle as the law in Wisconsin is slightly biased towards instigators with guns who are non-liberal and non-colored (at least in that courtroom.)

I've already predicted just like George Zimmerman Rittenhouse will reveal himself to be the dirtbag most of us think he is.

Have to read the clear exceptions below the bolded section:

That is, this whole section does not apply to someone with a rifle or shotgun, unless it is illegally shortened / sawed-off (941.28), or if they are under 16 and the under-16 year old is lacking a hunting certificate (29.304/29.593).

Yeah I see the section where the law was poorly written. They were not specific enough concerning minors 17 years old.

I honestly think people should be ashamed if they are so easily triggered with a “guilty” / “not guilty” verdict in this case that they need to riot in the streets or otherwise cause more mayhem. If people think this judge wasn’t fair or impartial, they should pay more attention to the process that got him seated on the bench in the first place, and the local elections that influence those decisions.

That said, whatever the outcome, I really hope Rittenhouse keeps a low profile after this case and doesn’t buy into the media firestorm. It’s horrible to have to go through life as someone who’s either worshipped or reviled for taking 2 lives and injuring another during a night of stupidity. He deserves a shot at a normal life (which his “victims” won’t get) and the sooner everyone forgets his name, the better.

In general I agree, but what else can people do when the legal system refuses to provide them justice on any consistent basis, and has refused to do so for literally centuries?

Just an FYI, Law and Crime channel are showing the actual video as played in court where as CNN and the others keep a fixed camera on the courtroom.

I do hope that the jury foreman is not as prejudice as is this judge. Otherwise, the foreman will slant the deliberations with assuring a Rittenhouse not guilty verdict. And allowing almost any pro Rittenhouse argument to rule. Allowing that to happen could have been the reasoning for the judge giving such idiotic nonsensical jury guidance.

This trial illustrates and is the perfect example of how and why guns make people freakin crazy. This is why America is so gun happy and gun insane.
