Riva tuner....

Ok i have a Gainward gf4 ti 4400 128mb ddr golden sample. Now when i used riva tuner it has 2 optiosn to use when overclocking ... either threw low level system settings or threw the detonater drivers. Now which way would be better to use? And anyone else have any experiances with the make and model of my card??... have any idea of what kind of oc i should expect...

Low level overclocking overclocks the card directly and bypasses the drivers. Personally for safety reasons I overclock through the drivers because it means that my card is reset to stock speeds when I install new drivers.

I like to use the drivers (software) route also.

I am pretty sure when you use the low level path, Rivatuner has to run each time the computer is restarted (you don't see it and it does not continue to run) to reset the video card registers.

I am not confident that I know how to get everything back to stock settings when needed with the low level..... There must be some good reason to desire to do it that way for some circumstance, but I don't know what it is.... and being the coward I am...... I just use the software tweaks.
