RMA Crucial RAM

Hey all,

Does anyone know if you can RMA a stick of Crucial RAM without a Customer # or Order #?

Here's the situation:

In Summer 2001 I bought 2 sticks of (at the time) fairly high-end Crucial RAM. One of them has died on me. It is my understanding that Crucial has a limited lifetime warranty on their RAM products.

I don't have my receipt, so I don't have a Customer # or Order # and as near as I can tell the RMA form requires it. Does anyone know if I can make use of their lifetime warranty without my receipt?

LEGALLY in this country you do not need a receipt or any proof of purchase. Give them a call, and they should honor the warranty period from the date of manufacture.

Crucial will look up any stick of RAM in their records and replace it. I didn't have any of that information either, and I had no trouble having a stick replaced.

They are very good about honoring their warranty policy. Just give them a shipping address, name, phone number, and whatever else you can provide, and they'll take care of you.

Did you live at the same address when you bought it as when you replaced it? Or do you figure that doesn't matter either, because I've moved. I don't even remember my address back then

I don't live at the same address. It was no problem.

I think all they care about is that it still has the product ID sticker on it, really.
