RMA returned Seagate runs 61-65 degrees C.... should I be worried?

I recently RMAed a seagate 750GB HD. I'm running HW Monitor and it's the hottest hard drive in the case. The case is a CM 690 so there is a 12cm fan blowing on the hard drives (although covered w/ filter and part of the case).

Should I be worried w/ these temps? The case temp is 33 C.

Assuming its an accurate reading, that's way too high for a hard disk. I would first try to confirm it is even correct.

Funny you should mention this. I got a 7200.9 back from Seagate, and it is running at 59C, and a fan is blowing air over it.

It isn't worth it to RMA it yet again...

I've had two 200gig wd drives of same series and one used to shows temps constantly 10-15C higher. Its quite possible the temp sensor is faulty.

If the drive was actually at 65C you would find it very uncofortable to hold it, as in it would be hot.

Hover your hand like ~6 inches away from the drive while it's running. If it's anything close to 65C, you should feel the heat from that distance.
