To those saying the 6P camera is not good, have you actually used it? I see on reddit that people agree that the 6P camera produces better quality images compared to S8/S8+. Google's HDR is so good - even ported to the S8 per XDA.

I used the 6P camera and had no complaints. It took very good photos in my opinion. My only complaint was that it was very slow at times to take the picture. The Pixel's nearly instantaneous photo taking is one of the biggest appeals of it over the 6P in my opinion.
