that's McCain's middle name... I couldn't tell you what this Mcsame guy's middle name is.

Like I said, I couldn't find Hussein in your link above either and I've yet to see you play dumb on it.

Though even considering her "community" efforts to be in the same ballpark as Obama's is a farce. There are Mayors all over the US that work with more people in government that she has.

Always telling how when someone attacks her, they call her Mayor. I must have heard 20 different people mention "Mayor this, Mayor that". It's a telling omission to avoid her current position as Governor.

It would be far more credible if he hadn't been voting right alongside them for most of it.

Pfft. You act like 95% is most. At least he didn't vote present!

Haha, burn. What's worse, voting present and doing no harm (or good) or voting wrong 90% of the time. I dunno, tough call...

Don't forget John McCain's solution to people who have lost their jobs due to outsourcing: go to community college.

My rabid Democrat wife thought it was a good speech and my older daughter liked many parts of it.

I liked the policy discussion, especially the pro nuclear power and the supporting of lowering corporate taxes.

what's to play dumb on? it's his legal name

and yes... the retardation has always annoyed me.

I know 'BHO's full (middle) name and it's a play because certain trolls on this forum use it to try and tie Obama with radical islam. I don't agree with the 'McSame' stuff but at least it's a play on his valid comparison to Bush. Obama and Saddam are not comparable. In short, why the protest for one and not the other?

McCain gave a wonderful speech tonight IMO. I've seen him speak a lot. He's given better speeches in terms of content, but in terms of sincerity he definitely struck a chord tonight. He's not perfect, wasn't even my first choice, yet you can tell this guy loves his country as imperfect as it is. And that may make all the difference. This race is about to turn around big time in my view.

Good luck Barack. You're gonna need it.

Yes, I was moved too. But then I remembered he voted with Bush 95% of the time. Unforgivable. Add to that his choice for a running, Caribou Barbie, and he's dug himself a hole no speech can get him out of.

Yes. I like the guy but he won't be getting my vote based on issues and his fundie VP.

Did anyone think John McCain didn't love this country?

one could make the argument that John McCain supports George Bush, who's crapped in America's mouth and kicked it in the nuts, and therefore, John McCain hates America and a vote for the republican party is a vote for al'qaeda, whose ranks would probably swell during the hundred year war in Iraq.

I so don't see it that way at all. McCain just looks presidential. Barack looks like a neophyte by comparison. And I can't help but wonder who China, Russia, and other despotic regimes would rather stare down. Forgetting the '3am call' thing for a second, the simple fact is that the most powerful post on Earth is no place for a rookie, just my opinion.

If Barack looks like a neophyte, Palin must too right? Or did tha Alaskan National Guard stuff sway you?

And I guess it's natural that despots from other countries would prefer not to stare down a psycho warmonger.

Exactly. So, given that Palin will eventually be President, voting McCain would go against your statement.

Obama looks like a neophyte because he was not a POW? You can help your country in different ways. Obama was close to people in his community, McCain fought his country's interests far away. Both efforts are valid and honorable.

As far as experience goes, McCain gets the nod. However, 25+ years with "the Washington herd" (as Palin said) probably goes against him and also the fact that this "experience" led him to vote with Bush 95% of the time.... I would pass on this experience...

And you want to put one a heartbeat away?

Silly Republican, "experience" arguments no longer apply.

Obama and the Democrats should be handily winning right now. Its a 50/50 toss up. Don't count McCain out.

I completely despise the GWB&Co administration for what's gone on the past 8 years but IMO he did what he thought was right. He was wrong but it doesn't mean he didn't love the country. Ahem, plus McCain actually served.
