All I heard from both the left and right pundits how McCain didn't have to introduce himself today and spend this one and probably only time till the debates to make his case for America on the issues and so far...

Anyway, the delivery of the speech is flat. There is no real meat for the independents to chew on; just pandering to the base.

In retrospect, if winning was their biggest concern, I would have tossed out traditions and had Palin speak on the last day.

you mean like naitonal security, antiterrorism, eliminating pork barrel spending, eliminate political corruption, campaign reform, economy, those types of issues in the first third of the speech alone at that.
