Robbed. Looking for Sec. Camera

A friend of mine was robbed the other day at his bar at gunpoint. So Im trying to help him. I need to find a few companys that:

-Allow video to be recorded through the camera
-The video would be sent to a computer
--tapes possible too, maybe he forgot to mention it but im assuming tapes are fine, but he did say to a computer
--video sent to a remote location at least
-Wireless

Idk where to start but if yall have any info that could help, I'd gladly appreciate it. Thanks.

There are so many systems out there he needs to define what he wants (bw or color) and then figure out how many cameras he needs, what kind of money he wants to spend, etc...

Some systems are basically wireless cameras that connect to your wireless network...then they send a video stream to the network and your computer can "record" the data or not. But price depends on the overall quality of the unit. Some tape systems will overprice the newer web-cam style systems just because of the motors involved, etc...

Lets say (For the sake of arguement, its late- i cant call him now).

Lets say he wants to spend the least amount possible. He only wants one camera. Lets say BW is fine. Say a typical gas-station security camera. Im pretty sure this guy wont go 'all out' and buy the best sec. system money can buy, but when i go up to him tomarrow.. I want to say to him 'well it'll cost ya around" whatever it might cost him. We talking in the thousands/hundreds here? Just a broad generalization. I'll talk to him tomarrow about more information.

Personally I would go wire.

You would need a power supply (24v)
Cameras
Computer w/ DVR card and software
Quad and monitor if you want to have it displayed other than the PC.

Instead of the PC you can use a time lapse vcr or DVR.

Then I would say look up the security camera packages at Sams Club.

or spend $1500-$2000 and get a decent system.

I got two color cams with IR illuminators and a DVR card (all made by swann) from Frys for 280. It allows remove (internet) viewing etc. Was easy to set up and install myself.

For a good system, be ready to spend about $10K.
